For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello All! My name is mmiles (aka Michelle) I am now the new ADMIN for the group since LisaB received her letter and her Recruit will be graduating a week earlier! If you have any questions please let me know. Also please remember do not type in the last name of your recruiit any where on thie website....big NO-NO for the Navy!
Remember we are all in the same boat, have many of the same concerns, have many of the same questions, expiriencing the same emotions! Basically we all need the same support! So please use this group to get any support you need! I hope you will all be able to attend PIR so we can then finally meet in person as well!! THANKS!!!

Who has received a "I'm a Sailor" call: Please include division and time of call if possible and if you know if the whole division passed.

My Daughter called me at 3:34 pm central time on Wed. May 25th. She is in division 187 and stated all passed in her division. We talked for 20 mins.

@parrothdgal........just got my letter today, my son is in ship 07, div 187!! I was so, so excited to get this letter today! I was so thrilled to see his handwriting and the brief personal note at the end of the form letter! Stay in touch...we need to find others in the same ship/div...

Hi Lee Ann! Welcome to the group!!
Do you have any words of advice for what we should think about when it comes to flying in...which airport is better? Should we rent a car? Did you go to the Ramada Meet & Greet, suggest we go as well? Any advice on navigating the area? really any wisdom you can spread our way since you have "been there...done that" LOL Thanks!!

Babyryin- my son is in Ship 11 Divisions 186 he left on 4/5 as well. So it sounds like they are in the same division but different ships...huh...interesting! I don't get how they organize everything!!

My Husband left 04/05 and is on Ship 3 Div 186. I hope this is the correct PIR for us. 06/03 is a bit earlier than I had thought but that is a good thing. Fingers Crossed! I got the hubby in a box Friday - that hit me off guard. Had to sit in the car for a moment. I have mailed letters each day (yes I know he will most likely do push ups for them but hopefully it will be worth it).
I would love to hear from any others in the same division/ship.

My son is on ship 11 div 185 also! I also got the box, and a quick call and got his address today and sent a letter. I cant wait for graduation June 3rd.

jguzan-my son is on ship 11 div 185. left for bc on 4/5/11. I hope this is right site for pir. got the box fri 4/8/11. got a quick call at 2230 eve of 4/5/11. recruiter gave us ship and div and rest of address on fri am and we have written 3 times. no letters yet. just waiting for form letter to make travel plans. waiting is the worst.

Yah mmiles! Hey, want to add a picture instead of the silhouette icon? Just google NAVY PICTURES, pick one you like...save it...and download it. They have some really cute ones out there. Also, you may want to put your name up at the top by the profile picture as the one in charge of the group. Thanks for stepping up to the challenge!
