For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello All! My name is mmiles (aka Michelle) I am now the new ADMIN for the group since LisaB received her letter and her Recruit will be graduating a week earlier! If you have any questions please let me know. Also please remember do not type in the last name of your recruiit any where on thie website....big NO-NO for the Navy!

Remember we are all in the same boat, have many of the same concerns, have many of the same questions, expiriencing the same emotions! Basically we all need the same support! So please use this group to get any support you need! I hope you will all be able to attend PIR so we can then finally meet in person as well!! THANKS!!!

Be sure to go to the events page and RSVP for the Meet & Greet Thursday night before graduation! This is a free event even if your not staying at that hotel.

Who has received a "I'm a Sailor" call: Please include division and time of call if possible and if you know if the whole division passed.

My Daughter called me at 3:34 pm central time on Wed. May 25th. She is in division 187 and stated all passed in her division. We talked for 20 mins.

Comment by GailMindyHouston on April 11, 2011 at 8:00am: The lack of communication is tough right about now! And the lack of ability to plan for travel. Somewhere I read that they don't share the address until the selected "postmaster" for this division has been trained, i.e. so there isn't a flood of mail. But we should hear this week so keep your spirits up and start collecting fun and newsy info to share. I hear they like to receive jokes, sports info, news, and of course, lots of letters.

I am already so lost with this site :)~ Not really sure where I need to be & I still don't have an address/DIV/Ship, so that's not helping much. If I'm in the wrong place could someone please redirect me? Thanks so much!
