Sailormom.....no, my son is not on medical hold. Just "on hold". He doesnt seem to know why. I just talked with him again tonight and he was kind of down not knowing what's going on. Sounds like your son is having a good time....that's great! I hope my sons spirits pick up a bit.....he just wants to know what is holding things up and can't seem to get answers.

Tiffsmom, my son is on hold too. He is in GL. Is he on a medical hold? My son is waiting to see if he can continue on with his search and rescue contract. The doctors there said they found  history of asthma. He never was diagnosed with it and it was when he was about 6. So hopefully we will know soon. My son said h is having lots of fun there. He went to  a White Sox game with some other sailors.

Question.....I think I had asked this a while back.....does anyone know if we are able to post here where our Sailor will be going, other than their A school?? My son has his orders for overseas and just told me he is "on hold" now. He was supposed to start classes at GL and is on hold. Plan was he would be home for a few weeks before departing overseas in July, but now sounds like that might not happen. Don't really know......there's just so much I don't know.

@parrothdgal ......we are all so proud of this Sailor of yours!! She sure had a big cheering squad behind her here with NavyForMoms!!! Prayers will continue that she will have a full recovery!
