Let's help those who are coming to PIR by themselves find each other so that no one is traveling alone from the airport to Great Lakes.

We didn't get a letter today either....ugh...ok, and some tears! Elizabeth77 has good information regarding grad & go for nukes in early divisions. So....we make the best of it! All I need to remember is that the is 'The Right Thing' for Patrick!

Maybe it's because they started hell week. I hope we get a phone call and letters next week. They both really do help! i agree that 3 weeks are better then 6. Time is going by just wish it were a lil faster :)

Clandy26 - I was feeling that way yesterday! I really miss my son something terrible. 3 weeks is better than 4 or 5 or 6 like we were at just a short time ago! Once they are in A school, we'll be able to communicate a lot more. We got a letter last Friday, but nothing this week. Jamie said he writes a little bit each day if he has the chance. They are probably very busy right now.

I talked to my son's recruiter yesterday to make sure he was on track and to confirm once again that he was grad and go. He said yes that he would leave on Saturday. My son has not mentioned anything in his letters but I think that is because he believes I already know this information.

Hi everyone, I have been trying to stay upbeat and positive but it's REALLY hard today.I've been checking the mail everyday and I haven't gotten a letter. :( I just wanna know what's going on and I miss him SOOO much! Just want to see him, Only 3 weeks, only 3 weeks is what I keep telling myself.

Jen - i even heard that even though some people are grad and go... they still will have weekend liberty! think there is any truth to that rumor?
Comment by Pam on May 13, 2010 at 12:56pm
I should mention that I asked Jamie in one of my letters what he wanted to see and do and he wrote back that he just wanted to chill at the hotel with us. That might last a day and once he gets some rest (mentally and physically) he might be ready to do some tours. He's only 20, so I can't imagine him sitting still for very long! They are going through so much right now, that I'm sure what he's feeling today will not be what he is feeling at graduation. So we are going to play it by ear!

I've listed several things that are a must see in Chicago! I'm originally from there and Atlanta has nothing on Chicago as far as things to do and see!

Willis Tower Skydeck (f/k/a Sears Tower)
Navy Pier
Lincoln Park Zoo
Field Musuem
Museum of Science and Industry
Adler Planetarium
Shedd Aquarium
Lake Michigan / River Boat Tours - see link below.

Hope this helps!
