Hi, and thanks for the contact! So far, you're the first one with a recruit I've found on this site to be in the same Ship and DIV as my son. My son is married, with an infant son, and he's heading into the nukes...we're from NC. How about your wife?

He likes Pensacola. We are from south Florida and he went to boot camp on February 4th. He said he saw enough snow to last a lifetime so he is enjoying the sun, beach and warm weather. Does your wife hope to go to San Diego too? How have you been through boot camp? It was difficult for me as a Mom. I can't imagine how it is for those like yourself with spouses going through this. Family, friends and this website helped me a lot. Hang in there.

PIR is awesome! You will love every minute. Will you get to visit with your wife awhile? Our son was Grad and Go so we only had Friday to be with him, he left early Saturday morning. Once he graduates from A school he will be home for about two weeks before he goes to San Diego. Yes, he is ABH too.

Hi Vito,
I too have heard that there was a backup at Pensacola but it was not that way for my son. He got there on April 3rd and he got classed up around the 15th I think. He is scheduled to graduate frm A school on May 20. He had a big test yesterday and ranked very high in his class. He got his pick of San Diego and will be on the USS Ronald Reagan. Are you going to graduation at Great Lakes? It will be nice to keep in touch with you. Theresa
