My daughter will be going to Texas after boot camp, Wichita Falls, Shepard Air Force base to be exact! Her Dad's family (we're divorced now) is from Nederland Texas so I have been there many times! Still no letter from her but I'm sure she's really busy....I'm just looking forward to graduation!!
Im a Navy wife & my husband is in this div. It's so good 2 kno sum1 else who has fam n there
Hi everyone...well no word as of yet from my daughter...any one hear from their loved ones? I'm just counting the days until graduation...boy this was a lot harder than I expected!!!
yes I got a 10 min phone call from my son, man I thought I had missed his call and started crying but then he called back whew!, we talked and I felt so great but missed him terribly. Then received like three letters from him, he told me one of his shipmates not getting letters so now I have two boys I write to - so very proud of them both HOORAHH!! GO Navy !! GO 7/9 - needs to hurry up!!
U got ur 1st call 2day?
oh nooo Jae, I got my 2nd call, I am hoping for my 3rd, but it funny each time he called my heart sinks for a just a bit because I heard, 'no news is good news' so when he calls I think 'oh gosh, he is hurt, sick or something that is going to push him back from 7/9 PIR' but every time he proves me wrong and just wants to hear mom's voice - gosh its hard letting him off the phone to..lol
awww I hav only gotten 1 :( and my letter every thursday .......... but like u said no news is good news
anyone got their graduation packets yet?
Tracy - there isn't a graduation packet. The only official thing we get is the initial form letter with the division assignment and a password to get your parking pass. I don't want you to keep looking in the mail for something that isn't going to come. Oh, and the no news is good news is mainly to remind those of us that don't get any phone calls that they are ok. Pretty hard to not hear your loved ones voice when everybody else posting their phone calls. Two more weeks, 13 days and a wake up and we will get to SEE them. WOOT WOOT
I pray so & 4 those of u who c this please say a prayer 4 my husband as he has 1 more obstacle 2 pass that's n his way. He tol me n thursday's letter that he is havin trouble with his 5min prone float & that's all he feels he has 2 get thru 2 make it. Everything else he feels good about so please say a prayer 4 him so he can graduate on 7/9/10... Thank u ladies!
