nothing yet...hoping that if they get to call this week like she mentioned in her last letter, she will know exactly when. Today should have been tear gas...will let everyone know when I get the call. You all do the same! Take care, Lisa
any word? They should be in BS21 right now!! If anyone hears anything please post...I'm dying here! :)
Okay Ladies, we only have five days till we see our son or daughter. It has been an unbelievable journey! I hope I never have to go so long communicating with my son again. In his last letter he said he wanted to get his cell phone over the weekend so we can send it to him at A school. I will be praying for our recruits for these last days. It seems the divisions who have to wait until Tuesday-Wednesday for BS21 have it the toughest. They are going to be so exhausted. Looking forward to meeting all you moms out there!

Barbara
yes, I think our kids have had it the toughest it can be--especially with all the "trouble" they have been in. but maybe all the IT sessions have made them stronger somehow! It has been quite a journey for sure and I agree--going this long without talking to my daughter has been something I don't want to experience again--but I'm sure we will go through it more than once. Once they are on a ship...who knows when we will get to talk to them. I guess this has been boot camp for us as well, well, sort of (don't tell the kids I said that!) :) See you Thursday!
I was just sitting here wondering (and it is probably listed on the site somewhere), but if we are on the shuttle from the hotel to the graduation, then do our kids come back to the hotel in the shuttle with us? Seems like they would right? I'm getting so nervous and excited! Especially since I haven't talked to him at all since he left. We drive to Chicago tomorrow! How are all of you doing?
mary
I was wondering about the shuttle this morning...I haven't spoke to my son either and I am so excited for his call. My husband and I are flying out tomorrow and arrive in Chicago around 4. Are you staying at the Ramada?
Yep! Are you?
Yep! See you at the Meet and Greet! Hope we get our calls really soon. YIkes!!
Hey there! I was also wondering about that...I'm sure they will be able to get on the shuttle too; but we might have to wait a little longer if we double up the number of people on the shuttle. well, I'm not leaving without her ha ha! We are staying at the Ramada also. Looking forward to meeting you as well Mary! We will probably be late for the Meet & Greet but want to meet you guys in the lobby when we get in...so hang out a little while, we'll be there! I guess if the gates open at 7AM we will be up very early (wow, we will be on Cali clocks Barbara--yikes) for breakfast and then on the shuttle I think by 6:30 or so. I guess we'll find all that out at the hotel. Be sure to post when you hear from your little sailor! Take Care, Lisa
We used the shuttle with our first PIR, The shuttle company plans on you bringing your sailor back. We asked at the desk to be sure. The driver was really weird about it. Our shuttle was full on the way back, and he didn't want to make a return trip to come and get us... you know 3 whole miles, 5 minutes... Ended up that one family was on the wrong shuttle, they were going to a different hotel.
Thank you for the info!! M2sailorsX3!!!

Looking forward to meeting everyone too! - mary (Lisa, should we wear stickers or something that says N4M or something??? :)
When is the meet n greet? (Looks like I haven't been doing quite enough research I guess!).
