I can't believe it only 5 more days until we see our SR's.  Hope they are having fun with the Captian's Cupt today.

Midwestmom - That is great news about the flags and how they are doing. My SR doesn't give me any of that information in his letters.  I keep asking for that kind of info, but I get the upcoming weeks events and that is about it. So, I have to rely on you all instead of my SR.  So, thanks for sharing.

I can't believe PIR is in 4 days!!!  :0}  I can't wait to see my SR and all of the others. They have worked so hard these past 8 weeks and I am proud of each and everyone of them!!!  Happy July 4th to United States of America & God Bless our Military personnel in the past, present & most definately the future!

Happy Independence Day. Be safe and have a fun July 4th!
Ican't believe it 3 more days 16 hours. Wow, graduation is finally coming upon us.
I'm so jealous of the families who have their kids through all of those last tests and are now receiving lots of calls!  I guess ours will just be kept a lot busier right up until PIR.  Almost here!!!
We are so close to seeing them!  I don't know how they are dealing with it either knowing almost half the div are finished.  Maybe it is easier for them to stay busy?!?  Today is my SR's birthday.  Earlier we thought they'd have BS tonight so we told him that he'd get to stay up all night for his 21st b-day ... celebrating almost like he would if he was home.  :)
I know... waiting til the last possible moment. LOL. I'm still so nervous and anxious every day. We will be in our car almost to Chicago (I hope- there are some issues with hubby's work) when we get a call.  I did get a call yesterday but it was a very specific one and he didn't have time to talk. .

FYI - It is letter day!  Our div was allowed to write and mail letters mid week last week so hopefully everyone gets letters today or tomorrow.  As much as I love letter day...I'm going to love getting phone calls and texts more next week!  :)

God be with all our SR's as they push themselves and carry one another through these last few days of BC.

We leave tomorrow evening. I did get a call from my SR today.. very fast. He had to get a phone number for a reference for his A school. Someone who went to college with him to verify he went to class I think? It was very fast though because he had a lot of SRs behind him waiting to use the phone. It was nice to talk but he sounded stressed and in a hurry.
Midwest mom- I agree 100%. Let's pray they get through this.

Well, I received a short letter and so did his girlfriend! He did say much except that they have a lot ahead of them to do and still have BS on July 6th.  I am getting so excited and still have so much to do before I even get ready to leave, but like always it will get done and I will be there on time if not early!!! lol

Hope everyone has a safe trip through Chicago and hope to see you all in less than 3 days if not on Thursday! I'm most definately praying for our SR's who have BS21 tomorrow! They will probably be whipped puppies on Friday, but they will be energized to know that this leg of their journey through the Navy will be over, and they will be on to the next part of their journey. God be with them through this part and through the rest of their lives!!!!!

See you all real soon!

I got a letter from my son also. It sounds like everyone is doing good and last week (when he wrote it) they were finishing up their last PFA and written tests and working on firefighting. I'm getting really excited now :)  So close!
