OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's 92 here today, hottest day of the year. I am standing outside with my phone and a laptop because the cell reception is better there

Div 221, How you holding up ladies?

Comment by Karleen ship 3 div 221 on July 1, 2011 at 4:19pm

I was on earlier and then went out to work in the yard. While there I was feeling pretty relaxed, had my phone on me on the highest ring volume, and then I came in to see if calls were coming in yet and after reading all the posts my anxiety is really high! Not feeling so relaxed now! Come on 221! Great job Div 219 and 220!

I'm on pins and needles...  I don't even know if my SR made it to bs21.  He didn't call and say he didn't pass the run that he was having trouble with....so I'm holding on in hopes that he did bs21 last night.
