Oops, I tried to edit a post but deleted it, lol.  My son said that they took a picture of them marching today.  Random pictures for today were posted on facebook.  Check and see if you Div. is one of them!

Karen, be sure to read the BattleStations discussion above.  There is a link I posted in there that will give you LOTS of info.
Comment by diannep on June 23, 2011 at 8:16am

Karen:  Every now and then, a lady posts after BattleStations that she didn't get a call from her SR/sailor.  That's worrisome as she will wonder if her SR passed or not.  If they didn't pass BattleStations (very few fail, but some do and have to repeat), they don't get to call--they do get to go through again with another group and will call then.

But they may have other duties that prevent them from calling also...or they may have run out of time/lines too long for the phones.  Occasionally a new sailor is just so tired from being up all night (actually about 38 hours by the time they get to go to bed that night) that they dont call.

That is why we ask all of the ladies to please ask your sailor if all in his/her division passed and then post that.  If all passed, it at least gives the ladies who don't receive their call that day-- peace!  Usually those sailors will call the next day.

"...2PM Great Lakes time following the completion of BS."

Sorry!

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on June 23, 2011 at 12:37am

"I'm a Sailor" calls start around 2 PM Great Lakes time. They have to return to their Ship, shower, eat etc. Then it's off to Recruit (Ricky) Heaven where there are video games, fast food (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC and Subway) and PHONE CALLS!

I am on the west coast and I got my call at 12:15 PM (we are two hours behind).
