Joel:  If she is asmoed, not a problem.  She will heal and get started back in training with a different division (and PIR group) when ready,  My son was asmoed for a week when there and finished with no problem.

J'sMom;  Totally agree with Lala on taking extra guests to PIR.  Although the Navy will not guarantee anyone in other than those on the list, with proper ID and with your group, they should get in.  The worst that could happen is that they would be held in the visitors center until it was over...but most get in.  I would take them!

Just the 7/1 PIR group was told in very concrete terms that no extras would be allowed in because theirs is a special occasion weekend and PIR is being held in a different location on the base.

Joel: I understand her reluctance to go to medical...not wanting to be setback (asmoed). If it doesn't get better, she needs to go...but she may be able to work through it as long as nothing is broken.  They will keep an eye on her medically in her division, don't worry.

J's mom there are no exceptions for extra guest on 7/1 PIR only. That's the way I understood it from the U.S.Navy Recruit Training Command face book page. On other PIR's you can have more than 4 guest.

Joel B (I just went back and read your story- ;-D)-I hope your girl's ankle gets better. Maybe the boots can help stabilize it! I can understand her not wanting to go too medical just because of the "unknown"...but I hope if she needs too she will go rather than do herself further injury. It's certainly not fun to leave your training group but I told my son when he had pneumonia (was having trouble with passing the run-gee I wonder why?) that being asmo'd was better than being discharged. (He wasn't asmo'd-just spent a few days in his rack...it got too it's worst on a weekend so he did not miss much and was able to make it up.)

Thanks, Dianne!  I think I will do 2:30, a happy medium :)  I don't want to worry about being late, but I also want him to have enough time afterwards to do what he wants to do (which will probably be a shower and just relaxing) before he has to check back in.

‎1.547 miles running in place with Wii miles in 10 minutes. I don't know if Wii miles are actual miles but that's good for me. Plus an hour work out on top of that.
My last time running for 10 minutes which was last year sometime, was 1.348 miles, but of course my wife has me beat at 2.753 Miles in 10 minutes.

Yeah J's mom, the strict limit is only for the 7/1 PIR.  They might be able to get into the 7/8 one!

That is only for the 7-1 PIR, they are having it outside. Or least that is what I understood. I am pretty sure it is just that PIR though. You should be fine for your PIR with extra guests. They are first come first serve so get them there as early as possible. :-) The gate opens at 6:30am.

I got a call from my sweetheart the other day. She said she might have sprained her ankle a week ago but is to scared to go to sick call because she doesn't want to get sent back. I told her that I would like her to go because I don't want her to hurt. The whole thing just makes me sad. But I am so glad I got to hear her voice she is the most amazing person.
