@joels rackie- we are gaurenteed a call after the complete BS21, its the "im a sailor" call. it may not be the same day as BS21 they may need to report to other duties, but it is a gaurenteed call. before BS21 they will have to earn them, they may come, my husband and i both have been told that after week4 (guns ect) they start to ease up a bit and 4-1 - 4-5 days are next monday through friday. they say their RDC's start allowing a little more privledges becauses week 4 is their hardest week, 3 inspections PFA and another written test, so dont expect anything during next week except your usual letter.

You are correct, NavyWife, on the cutlass.  What is your hubby's title at bootcamp?  Those are the only ones who get to carry the cutlasses at PIR.

And they GENTLY take them away from the sailors before liberty is called at PIR!  :-)

Wow, it's awesome to hear so many people say that their SR sounded great. this is a great pattern. The toughest adjustment period is behind them and they are soooo looking forward to succesfully completing this training, conquering Battlestation and proceeding to A-School. This is just awesome. It's great to be able to kinda relax now, and pretty much concentrate on reservations and gatherings etc... and hopefully more letters and maybe even a couple of calls. I see that everyone pretty much has commented that the division is really doing good and with the comraderie they've created they will all do everything in their power to help each other succeed :)

My son is in Ship 2 Div 934. We got a phone call yesterday and he sounds GREAT! I cannot wait for July 8th to get here.

Justin was also pretty excited about his uniforms.

Navywife- does every SR get a cutless or is it only a leader thing?

Comment by joel's_rackie on June 8, 2011 at 10:11pm

Are we getting another call before or after battle stations? That's what we have to pray right now, that every single sailor recruits would pass this and no one would get injured!!

J's mom: thank you so much for including us in your prayers!!

I got the call too (ship12 div 224) and my 2nd letter in one day! I'm a very happy Mom :-) My sons in a male/female div. He sounded really good too. Said they were doing well but that this would be the last call for awhile. He said their looking forward to the next 4 weeks; they have some fun stuff coming up.
