Noelle:  No shuttle from Navy Lodge but it is close by so not bad to drive.

Finally got the long awaited call from my son! This call felt and sounded so different. He really sounded his normal happy go lucky self, and so assured. He told me with excitement that he is the EPO ( Education Petty Officer). Before he hung up I ask him if he was ok and passing everything and he hollered "mom, I'm kicking butt!". He made me feel really calm and happy for him, I just love my boy :)

@navynrocks- i would definitly assume that he is being kind hearted and giving to those in need, i sent my husband with one, and then mailed another one, and havent heard anything about needing more stamps yet, only waiting to get more paper to write lol.

Joel is also asking me to buy him another phone card. I send him 3 $10 phonecards before leaving for BC.  So far,  he calls me once every week since May 12th for 5 minutes. This time, I got to talk to him for 10 minutes!! AWESOME! He sounded more relax now.. He's excited about the uniforms and the upcoming weapons test!! Told me he looked so "pogi" handsome in his uniforms..

He is super excited that his parents are coming to his PIR, especially his dad. He hasn't seen him in more than 5 years (ever since he migrated here in US). I met mom Cora once back in 2008. Please keep us in your prayers that the Lord God grant us a visa for my father in law!! His interview would be June 21st!! Thank you so much!! I claim this as an answered prayer in Jesus name.

Okay this is a long shot but.... If anyone lives in the Charlotte to Asheville NC or even upstate SC or eastern TN and needs to buy airline tickets to Ohare you may be interested in this. Asheville Airport is offering tickets to Ohare for $90.00 you must fly on Tuesday, Wednesday/ or Sat to get this price and buy your tickets in June, not sure of the exact deadline but this a great deal. Fly up on Wednesday before PIR and come back on Sat for $90 you can't beat that. Especially if your Sailor leaves on Saturday anyway. It was just on the local news here where I live (near Asheville NC) If this would work for anyone let em know and I will help you find the info you need.

Just got to talk to my husband for 9 minutes!!!  (Div 224) He said so far everyone has passed all of their tests, but they still have a few more to go including the weapons tests.  He said he got ALL of his uniforms: dress blues, whites, khaki working uniform, pea coat, everything.  They're doing well and he said the PT is getting easier for him to do, and he is confident that he will be able to pass the final PFA.  He said he writes me every night but can only send it out once a week.  He got choked up a couple of times, but for the most part sounded really good!  He said it is getting easier every day, that the RDCs are not yelling at them as much anymore and they aren't getting as much IT.  But he did say that their calls have been secured until further notice.
