Tickled Tink: I understand the coffee priority:-) I think there's a Starbucks near our hotel which makes me very happy. Diannep is right though, there's usually coffee in your room or the lobby. The next logical question then is are there easily accessible bathrooms at PIR, lol...
Lisa- yeah, I'll certainly be tired, but he's been more sleep deprived than I. Heck, even before RTC. He used to work graveyard and would often stay up for more than 24 hrs at a time in order to spend time with me on our days off. And I'm sure I'll be soooo excited. I tend to not be able to sleep and get up more easily when I'm excited.
Does anyone know though is there a place to buy some coffee? I'm staying at the Gateway inn on base across the street, so I don't have much of a drive at all. Do they sell any at PIR maybe?
mosita: The gates opening at 4:30 is just for the PIR 7/1 group. They are having a special celebration since it is the 100th anniversary of the Navy. Betsy gave you the info for your PIR. We left on the 6:30 shuttle from our hotel and were in our seats by a little after 7. I would highly recommend this as choice in seating was much better. Shuttle allows you to pass the car lines too.
navymommo: Here is the website for the division tshirts:
Click on ENTER, then TRAVEL DISCOUNTS/Recruit Grad, then scroll down to MAIL ORDER FORM with phone numbers on it
SailorMomLisa: Brother divisions in this PIR group:
219+220, 221+222, 223+224, 225+226
815 and 934 do not have brother divisions.
Brother divisions train together and go through BattleStations together. 815 and 934 may tag on to a set of brother divisions for BattleStations or could go with each other.
mosita, the gates open at RTC at 6:30a.m. but they will not allow you entrance in the hall itself until 7:00a.m. It is bleacher style seating. There will be signs in the hall stating where each division will be standing. You should be able to sit close by your SR's division.
