luvmyboy - We went to PIR 5/13. We stayed at the Residence Inn - there were 4 of us. We took the shuttle, which left shortly after 7 am. It took us about 5-10 minutes to get to the Base and we were in the Hall by 7:30 a.m. at the latest. There was still plenty of room and depending on what division your SR is in, there will be seating in front of the division markers on the deck. With only 2 people attending, it should be fairly easy to get a good seat.
Have you looked at the RTC page on Facebook? If so, check out some of the PIR albums - they will give you a good idea of the set-up in the Hall and how much room there is.
In any case, good luck and enjoy the experience - it will be something you'll never forget. Make sure you take plenty of pictures!
lol fireteam, I am now working on the other branches :-) I already have many of the other embellishments for the Army and Marines and I made ribbons for an Army Mom not too long ago and College graduation ribbons for 3 families. Word is getting out and I am "branching" out as well. I also did the "dolls" like the Sailors for Dr's, nurses, firemen, construction, baseball, cheerleaders, college & high school graduates, football players, they are all so adorable. I am so glad you loved your ribbons and the scrapbook stuff. Keep checking back with me I add new stuff all the time and in celebration of my wedding this month all the scrapbook stuff is on sale so check my facebook page, Unique Memory Makers. I have had 2 N4M members win scrapbook embellishment bundles and I am going to be giving another one away soon. :-)
If you are wondering what fireteam is talking about here are a couple of pics.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!

*Happy Sunday everyone!! Remember to always include each other in prayers, to give us peace of mind and wisdom & strength for our SRs. May God bless us all!
Oh, and for those of you who have other family members serving in the military.
Lala added a flag for my DH on my ribbon. I was so proud to wear it. It's beautiful in and of itself but the flag was so special for me.
I also ordered some of her scrapbook Sailors...okay...all of them, in the different uniforms. They are VERY nice. I highly recommend them.
Lala-you have to do other branches too!
Don't know if I have posted here yet. My Sailor just PIR'd on 05/26.

The Silo in Lake Bluff

Giordanos in Gurnee
http://www.giordanos.com/locations.html
I have pictures of the Silo on my blog-"BLOG OPS" MIssion 4.
I went to Giordanos too! They had a lunch special for $6.95.
Drink, salad, individual pizza. You can add toppings for $0.50 each.
We liked both very much. Both are very filling!
Giordano's has a unique crust. Flaky but not falling apart. Rich tasting! Silo- thick crust that I am familiar with. Has a thin crust too and other menu items. Trains and lots of old wood. Gets busy at dinnertime!
I had good service at both places.
I will TRY to work on my BLOG tomorrow and will get picks of Giordanos!
With all the stuff going on around here lately "the Ship" is very neglected!
sbenfamily-I really hope that you can get your hubby added without your SR knowing! That is so great that he can come home. Mine is deployed also, but could not come home, so I know how wonderful you must be feeling. It was his day off though on the 26th and he was able to call! Again,I really hope it goes well!
