Got my letters, a whole envelope full of them!!!! So excited to hear from my son. Everything sounds like its going pretty good and he's adjusted fine. They pulled all four of his wisdom teeth at once without putting him under, just numbing his mouth. That seems a little extreme but he said he's fine! Yippie!!!!!

Got a letter today, I was crying even before I opened it! my SR sounded positive and commented that the food was good.

QUESTION- return address has DIV 225, but the original form letter had DIV 226. I know I will not be able to resolve until I get a call, but will mail already sent get to my SR?

cas1 funny you say that, because I was thinking about writing him about what happened on Glee.  He claims to not like it, but he watched it with me a lot and I think it would help.

12/219   Got 2 letters today!  My SR has a respiratory infection, they tried to put her on light duty but she's too afraid of getting behind, so she refused!  She said things are getting somewhat better.  In one of my letters, I told her about the finale for Greys Anatomy.  I had to laugh, because she said everyone crowded around her to hear about it!  Everyone is also loving the baseball updates.  I guess they are constantly worried about being set back.  So, all in all, she is doing alright.

Gosh it's so great to hear all the good news here. I'm hoping for a letter but I'm just happy that he is still there making it through. I'm very proud, and boy am I gonna cry when I see him PIR! have a great day folks.

sbenfamily:  If she asked for you to send it, you can.  She must have cleared it with the RDCs beforehand.  But she should be able to buy it in the NEX up there too.

...that is why many sailors get a PO box in a regular post office...my sailor may have to do that soon.  Hard when his mail comes here (his home address) and I have to get it to him....

Get ready for the erractic mail in the Navy, ladies.  When I have to send something to my son's ship address (and it's dry docked)....it takes 3-4 weeks!  Even sent it priority mail once...got to the Navy in just 3 days....took 17 days longer to get to him.  UGH!

i think each kid is different when it comes to sending something, mine ask that i send nothing not even a picture, says the RDC's are standing there in front while they open mail and i guess some will "tease"  ,however i jst sent a very small pic in a cheer card & hope i dont blow the cover, poor recruits are all just dead tired.
