oh my gosh, we were just looking at Alan's bank statement and I read all the posts on pay. I don't even want to tell him how little he got paid. I think I won't. I told him I would pay him back for pictures. He has no bills except for cell phone.

Moms,
Today a gentleman pulled up behind me at the gas station and asked where my sailor is (I have bumper stickers and license plate frame). We got into a long discussion about bootcamp, pictures, things to do after PIR and the Navy in general. His son loves it so much he has decided to make a career of the Navy. It was so cool I even forgot about the price of gas!

Hey Kathryne I'll definitely take pictures for you since Josh and CJ are buddies. My hubby is a camera freak, actually he is a really good photograher, so I'll share with you whatever we have. Glad you got a nice letter yesterday.

Wow, that's great. I always get lost getting out of Arco, I can never figure out which side I'm on. Have you been before? If not, there are lots of places to eat if you take the Truxel exit off I-80. You can get plenty of food if you are taking I-5 from the airport also. Fortunately, the weather cooled down.

Hi H2Hmom - We're flying SWA from Sac at 8:40, with a change in Burbank, a stop in Phoenix and arriving at Midway at 5:20. Total time is about 6 hours. The flight back is nonstop.

Kathy - we made our reservations before we even got the PIR packet, we were so anxious. It's a long flight from CA.

Cindy - I'm so glad, I just knew he was doing okay. Got a letter from Alan today, a day early for us. His buddy and the neighbor got one also, we all stood in the driveway and read them to each other. He was excited about the live fire. He asked that we take pics of all the neighbors at our Tuesday night out party and his dad and I with the dog. He said he misses pizza and jelly beans. Guess I'll be packing jelly beans!

We're bringing cell, laptop and MP3, but we'll take them back with us and mail to him when he gets to A school. He will probably spend Friday texting everyone!

I spent an uneasy night worrying and praying about battlestations. I am now certain they are ready for it, they've passed everything, they're strong and confident. Alan seems to think it will be fun also. My gosh, I'm so proud of all of them, I hope I don't cry through the whole PIR!

Why do they have to call their recruiter? Surely, after all this training they'll pass. Oh my gosh, I had it all mixed up. I certainly hope they call before the 13th since that's when we are leaving.
