Hi all,
We did not receive our packet today. Is there anyone else who hasn't received their grad packet?

In Alan's first letter he said they all got letters from home at the same time and they all cried when they read them they were all so homesick. At least they are not alone.

Kathryne, I know how you feel. Don't worry you will get a letter any day now.

That's great, Alan didn't mention PIR at all. He hates the food, I guess my cooking wasn't that awful! He was really homesick the first week but he sounded better in his second letter, which he put in the same envelope as the first. It was dated July 2. He said more training groups have arrived, they aren't the new ones anymore. He asked for lots of letters and pictures. I can't wait to get there and meet everyone. I never imagined it would be this hard.

I'm hoping they won't be, everything I've read said 8 weeks for boot camp plus one week for processing. I check the website all the time but the dates haven't changed, so now I'm waiting for the grad packet. I would think we would get by the weekend or early next week.

We have no grad packet yet either. Maybe by the end of the week. Just got his first and second letter today. The first week sounded pretty rough, but sounds like he's adjusting by his second letter of 7/2. It was so good to hear from him. I am worried also about his division being moved back. Alan is in 297 and just arrived on 6/23.

Count us in for pictures too. My husband is a nut about taking pictures.

I'm sure he'll do great the second time. I bet you never thought you would worry about push-ups. I'm sure he isn't worried, probably a lot of them didn't pass the first time. I'm going to write Alan a letter tonight and ask him how he's doing with his and if he knows Justin.

Ginnie,

Wow, how many push-ups do they have to do? I thought Alan was physically read since he worked out every day, doing those Navy seal push-ups, running, lifting weights, boxing, etc. I thought the DEPs would be a little ahead of the game, but I'm sure Justin passed them the second time. I'll be right there with you, praying for push-ups, too.

Alan is in Div 297, ship 7, Ginnie and I are the only two also. Alan arrived in BC on 6/23. I haven't made and reservations until I get the "official" word, but I'm anxious for news.
