I saw an ad that PETCO/PETSMART have military dog collars. My dog wants one, so I'm headed there at lunch. My son will get a kick out of it when I send him a picture!

Hi Cindy, I was just thinking of you and Morgan yesterday. It's so nice that you will have him for Christmas!

Hi Helen, I'm so glad to hear that Matt likes ATT school. I have put together a scrapbook for Alan, my husband and I pore through it and miss him. I've not heard from my boy since he's on a ship now and has to go through indoctrination before he's allowed to e-mail. I'm so excited for everyone who will spend the holidays with their sailors!
Robin - how is Ali doing? I liked your picture of her and your dog so much I posted one of Alan and ours. Sometimes I think Alan misses him the most!

Happy Veterans Day, Moms! It's so nice to hear what our little group of sailors is doing. BuildASign.com is offering free banners, they just charge for shipping. I have one from the last promotion and it's really nice.

Dana, how exciting! I'm so happy for you and your family. Alan loves Washington, he said it's really pretty. I can't wait to visit. He is on his ship now. He was apprehensive until he got there and then it was all okay. He's rack is in with the petty officers (probably temporary) but he likes it.

Hey ladies, just a quick update on CJ. He finished A school last week and is doing strand now. He will be home week after next for two weeks and then off to San Diego. I'm so excited for him and so proud of all these guys.

Kathryne - How wonderful to have them both home for Christmas. What more could a mom want!
Helen I hope you are recovering well. My husband had the same a year ago and is as good as new. Isn't that funny that Matt enjoys his shopping, Alan says the same. When he was home on leave he was so proud to put on his uniform. My heart bursts with pride for all of our sailors.

How are the rest of our sailors doing?

Yesterday was their first day of rain since Alan has been there (only one week - seems like a long time ago). He is on hold at a sub base in Silverdale. The town next to Bremerton I guess. I have no idea if his ship will be in port this summer but we'll go anytime. It would be fun to ski/snowboard with him. He calls everyday also just to hear what's going on in our lives. He said he likes it up there, very pretty.

Isn't it wonderful having them home for leave? Does that make 2 now that are at their post? Dana, when is your daughter coming home on leave? Does anyone else know where their kids will be assigned?

I look forward to hearing where all our group of sailors ends up.
