I think 281 does Battleships tonight with 282. They seem to be grouping at least two together. Somewhere earlier in the posts someone said 281 was this week so it would have to be tonight.

Mary~no and no mail for me today : ( I'm so confused with BS 21 right now, it's not even funny. I thought they went in order but to do that 281 would have had to go to BS last night.
Brad turned 18 and 14 days later was at boot camp, but I know this wil be great for him and help him grow up some if not a lot. Im so sorry about her doggie. That always hurts.

and I understand that about the phone call, I have gotten to the point that I dnt want her to call anymore.

I miss her she is my baby, they all are and it does not matter the age they will always be our babies.
Kayla is 18, she had almost finished her last semester of her freshman year in college, had just turned 18 and 90 some days later was out of my home... I tried to tell her, at 18 you are an adult by gov't standards. Not by reality. I said I still need atleast 5 more years to teach you so much and then hope that is enough, but it is now the job of the US Navy and I will kindly let them have it. I will still have my mom heart to hearts with her, all the time (whenever she passes this stinking run).

I wish I knew, her original div. was giving her lots of support the guys told her to think of something she wanted badly. Then they yelled to run towards home, run home, that shaved some time, but that was only the second PFA!!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of his grandfather. It is never easy but family is much harder I think.
We have since the mess here had that talk with our son, he said he wants to know only if it has to do with us, and or his best friend who is a marine and stationed oversea.

It is a hard decision to make. You risk them being depressed as she was, and on the other hand them being upset at you. I however got both. She was so mad and then later wrote and said she completely understood why I had not told her. Now I have more sad news for her, this will hit her just as hard. Our family dog past away 2 weeks ago. It is her doggy (she is our animal freak),he was a Golden Ret. She named him albeit "Shadow" but formal name was other. We had him since he was 11 weeks old. He got sick with our heat and could not get him into our vet, however he was gettng pretty bad before she left so this may not be as shocking, but will hurt all the same. She is always asking about her dogs, she has/had 2 Shadow and her Corgi Murphy, they are her babies. She really does not want children, she is however only 18 and is going on the fact that she is second oldest and has to younger and this has turned her stomach as she puts it!!!

Well I don't want a phone call today then (if it's only to tell me bad news), I want a phone call today to tell me he passed his run, Just long enough to say "mom I finally passed my run and Im going to get to go to BS (what's that like a 1 min phone call), that's all I need, and my weekend would be wonderful.

Thats so funny about your oldest dropig off his wash, LOL.
I'm sorry to hear she got bad news while in BC, but she sounds very strong and I'm glad she pulled through. Were waiting untill PIR or maybe even Sat to give the bad news of his G-pa dying last month, it was very sudden and not expected, but Brad said if there was nothing he could do about it, he didn't want to know.
Div 283 is an all male Division. From what I hear from Brad and all the other SR's is they are Hard, firm, funny, and they (the SR's) have respect for them. Their div had a rough go of it for awhile but I think their doing much better now, Thank goodness. I will be praying for K on Monday, do you know if anyone will be running with her, to kinda give modivation, or will she do it by herself, :(

Yes she called me last night around 9:45. I was not expecting it being so late.
They do call this is to let you know A. they failed and will not PIR on time B. failed and have the chance to run again.

I understand about the 18 and no communication. My oldest (20) moved down the street and the only time we heard from him was when he really needed something, otherwise his laundry was sitting in the L-room waiting to be washed and that's where I left it for him to pick up.

Kayla had awesome RDC's. She said they were firm, but had hearts. She as I said lost a very good friend and a friend wrote her (had a pact no one would say anything but she did anyway) they earned a call home, I never told her, that night she got the letter and 4 days later I got the whole "MOM WTH happened? I need to know I am going crazy here"

I had to write and tell her, she then cried for about 2 days and an RDC came and got her and told her to call me. Then even after she was sort of down and depressed still and they said go call home, you need a pep talk from home.
Oddly she is a strong girl, she is rough and tumble and not a girly-girly. loves her straightener and make-up, and hanging out with the friends. I think BC weakens them since they are so isolated, meant to I think so they can build on that to become strong individuals.

I think they do Captins cup this Sat. the 14th, not for sure though. I have a question, did Kayla get to call you on her last PFA test, telling you about her run? Just wondering, it drives me nuts not being able to call and only having letters (which I'm very greatful for), but still, being 18 and a guy, I only get info here and there on things.
Comment by Tobianne on August 12, 2010 at 9:17am
may have to do with size, also when they actually started BC. We had a push div. in 8/13. They came in after the rest. Do not take that as gospel though.
Brad will do fine, he just needs support. My daughter will not run again until Monday. So maybe she will go Monday or Tuesday for BS. did they already do captains cup?
