I sent evrything, a big box with lots of things through USPS priority mail 2-3 day with insurance and tracking, cost $54. it was going to cost a little over $100 if I shipped it overnight. Thought I'd save that extra money to but and ship him more things!

How did you ship the phone Amber? I did fedex the other day, sent his laptop and cell phone over night and a couple of dvds that he wanted ground and it came out to $107! But I was glad today when I found out he had gotten the laptop and cell phone.
I also just saw my sailor for the first time in his uniform :) he sent me a picture of his working uniform.

This past weekend was so amazing! I wish I could relive it over and over (except the Sunday evening "Goodby"... that was hard!). I feel so proud of him! I can already tell that A School is going to be so much better; he has called me THREE times today and he said he will call me again after they muster. Four calls in one day...life is gooooood :)

Everyone's tone is so different now! A lot more upbeat and happy because we have all seen or heard from our new sailors now :) Mine bought a phone...which has already been dropped in water but I am sending him his phone as well as laptop and a series of dvds today. I sent the laptop and phone overnight and the dvds ground. It still came out fairly expensive but it's what he needs, or I guess wants.

Amber-Brads mom - YES, if he ordered Pkg A, it comes with that package as a bonus, that's why you don't see it on the list. If any of you ordered the DVD, that takes about 6 weeks to arrive (to whatever address your sailor wrote down), but the Keel yearbook (aka Cruisebook) takes 12 wks. It was 8-10, but they made some changes with the publisher and now it's longer. My son's PIR was 6/4 and I haven't gotten his book yet!
