He didn't know what airline or airport. He also said he may or may not get a phone call. He believes he will but can't guarantee it. If nothing else I guess I will just mail him his phone overnight

Hey everyone. So I want to make sure my hubby has his cell phone when he goes to A-school. The only problem I'm having is knowing where to be and when? So many questions...like what airline? What airport (O'Hare or Midway?) What time?

If anyone else has heard anything of what will happen will you please either post or PM me? My hubby is going to Pensacola FL btw

Yay the wait is over! I'm so happy for all of you who were able to go to PIR! I'm hoping/wishing/praying that my bf is able to call me sometime today. I figured they would be able to after PIR...

Congratulations to our new Sailors and their families. My daughter, hopefully will be able to perform today, she will PIR on 9/2/10, and is in the 900 division choir. I am so excited for you all.

All is quite. Everyone is at PIR this morning, which should of ended about 15 minutes ago!!!! Congrats to all of you.

FYI: KeKe's mom posted a press release below, which is wonderful - however I was asked by someone in the Public Affairs office at RTC to tell all of you that the recruits do get the opportunity to fill out a Fleet Hometown News release form that gets sent to the local papers in their zip codes. Parents do not need to send info to the paper, unless they want to send a photo, because the Navy already is sending the info to the papers. My son's press release was published about 10 days after he graduated. Had I known this, I would of dropped off his Navy portrait right after PIR and asked them to publish it with the article once it arrived. So, the bottom line is, you don't have to worry about giving your newspaper a press release, RTC takes care of that, but if you want his/her picture to be next to the article, you will need to get that to your local paper right after graduation!

I got the "I'm a Sailor call around 2:20, we where about 4 and half hours away from Great lakes. He said he Failed his final PFA they had on Thursday do to run but passed it on Sat or Mon at 12 min flat :))) It was great to meet all you came out to the meet and greet, it was real nice (I'll post more later on that, but I have nothing bad to say about it, only good things) TammyP ~ I'm soo happy to know that your Sailor was able to heal and go through BS too. Yea for all of us on getting through this 8 weeks!!!!! We only have a wake up. See ya all 2 morrow
