My son has also started sending me a list of things he wats to do. When I know wether or not he a grad and go, I'll make a liberty questionaire for him.
Update: I changed my room reservations, I'm now staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton, King or 2 double beds, 1 bedroom suite, with full kitchen for $69/night + tax. I changd cause my 2 kids are coming and the living room is seperate from the bedroom, also has two t.v's, my room for us and my salior to "hang out" if that's what he wants. Also includes swimming pool, hot b-fest every morning, internet. Just a lot more bang for the buck then the Navy Lodge.
Susan A- Aren't you staying there too?

BTW, the camera doesn't work. :( I've been wanting to buy a new one (will have to before PIR) but I thought it would work. Ah well...

Jetcar: Are you talking about Six Flags? If you have a group of 20 or more the tickets drop.

As for entertainment my hubby has asked to go to the local amusement park. So I'm gonna get day passes and take him. We were gonna go before he left but didn't make it. He actually sent back one of the questionaires with a list of things he would like to do for liberty weekend. So now I'm doing my best to make the list happne :-D

tasmyn - I wonder if you left out of Dallas (DFW) and then there is Chicago (ORD or MDW) and if not there like JD's Angel said there is Milwaukee (MKE). Some people would even try Madison (MSN) or Minniapolis (MSP)

Ladies, don't wait on your hotel reservations. They book up in some hotels so make those now. Most have liberal cancellation policies.

SusanA - The Cubs are playing the Braves Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday appeared to be sold out but I got tickets for Sunday at 1:10. Here is their link: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=chc

WOW!! Did any of you see the news about the Navy's new Laser Canon!? Raytheon built it and it is functional. They shot down a drone. Any of you ladies have guys going into weapons systems? Too cool!

tasmyn44 - We are driving from AL - about 10 hours - so no reservations there but I did make the hotel reservations a couple of weeks ago. I also bought tickets for the CUBS vs Braves game. When we were looking at flights we found them much cheaper if we flew out of Nashville, TN. I don't know your options in Houston - is there more than one airport?
Comment by JDs~Angel~ (RCU) on July 22, 2010 at 12:49pm
Tasmyn: Try Milwaukee too (airport code MKE).

I left too late to tackle the mail man, but I can wait... I hope. I wrote my Sailor another letter this morning and packed that one and two more up and dropped them in the mailbox. Tonight I'll finish up his special pizza card with a "recipe" I'm working on. :)
