Haha It's been a very long week so far because I haven't recieved a letter yet, and I'm used to getting like... three a week lol. But I'm hopeful that today's the day!! Ok.. the one card is done but my grandma said I should make him another. It's actually a card that looks like a slice of pizza *LOL*!! well kinda. Hehe. It's small enough to send in a regular envelope so I'm going to send it tomorrow. The other one I should make is a cup of coffee card. But that I'll have to do tomorrow. I just want to send him silly but meaningful things... I haven't written inside the pizza card yet but I will... and I'll get that pic or scan up tomorrow. :) I gotta get my tires done tomorrow (all 4 are getting replaced... an early birthday present from my family).

Susan: No worries... not saying that's exactly why but to me it makes sense. You might want to ask your Sailor to clarify if possible. :)

Calebs girl - Welcome welcome. We have been hard at work here supporting each other and giving well wishes and sharing info. I hope you have a good time with us! :) It also helps make the days go by faster.

Only 9 hours to go before the day changes! YAY! (I'm such a schmuck *lol*)

Calebs girl-Glad u found us. You can wear what you wish, but most wear some type of casual dress (i don't mean dress as a literal dress, lol) (that way you look great in pictures standing next to your Salior :))). I'm prob. going to wear a sundress, I think or mabey capri's, I think I might go shopping, I love to shop and it will give me an excuse :)))))

Sobe - Love that poem, almost made me cry for some reason... I think because sometimes I feel like I am waiting in anticipation to see all that the future holds as a Navy wife. I know there are going to be so many wonderful, happy, and really fun times but I also know that there are going to be hard and sad "I miss him!" times. This poem seems to give me a glimps of what it will might be like in the future. Wow, emotional strength, understanding, and patience are going to be a must!
Amber - as if "ironing" is not funny enough but even more funny "ironing his UNDERWEAR!!!" I had no idea that they even had to do that, and I really don't see the point??? My oh my how these SR's are making some big changes.
JD - Excited to see the pic of the card that you are making...

Hey guys! My boyfriend's PIR is August 20th and I'm really excited to go!! This is the first time we've ever been away from each other for this long and it's hard, but I know we can make it. He is in division 282. Can anyone tell me what we're supposed to wear to their PIR? And he's grad and go, so he leaves at three twenty that morning. =(

The Prayer below was posted by Missy in PIR 7/23. It's obviously written by a wife or GF, but it works for any of us. This is the best one I've heard in a long time. Prayers out and candles lit for those last divisions doing BS-21 tonight - they graduate on Friday.

Dear Lord, give me the greatness of heart to see
The difference between duty and his love for me.
Give me understanding so that I may know
That when duty calls he must go.
Give me a task to do each day
to fill the time he is away.
And, Lord, when he goes out to sea
Bring him safely home to

Got home just a bit ago, and went to hunt down John, before I could ask about his letter, He said "did you get your letter", Told him "you got one, I didn't" he said ya you did, your SR put a letter for you in with my letter. I ran to the kitchen table (that's where he put it) Happy happy dance!!!! My mom made a comment "said I was obsessed" I totally agree. Said he had to go, to IRON his underwear, LOL. HE's ironing, OMG, I thought I was going to faint from the shock. :)))

I'm working on a letter/card to send to my Sailor...... I'll have to take a pic of it when it's done. *LOL* so far it's kinda cute! Here's a hint... it's food. haha! I have two regular letters to go out, but this one should at least make him smile.
