OMG, my poor Sailor... his hand writing is pretty bad so no doubt he has that horrible watch too. *LOL* I don't care what his handwriting looks like, as long as it's from him. I'm sure the Navy doesn't think so. hehe.

Susan: Yeah the wisdom teeth thing is right. I think my Sailor has the same problem. He said they'll take them out when he goes to A-School. I remember when I had all 4 of mine out (2 impacted) and the dentist thought I'd take about a week to recover. Well, I had it done on a Friday morning and was in DC doing the tourist thing with a friend of mine on Sunday. In pain, but I was functional. I also popped a stitch that day. Blah.

Actually, even if they are at their Great Lakes school, they still have to stay in the 50 mile radius during school
Comment by diannep on July 21, 2010 at 12:32pm
Yes, no more than 50 miles from RTC

Curiosity....aren't there restrictions on how far from RTC you can take your sailor?
And just to refresh my memory..how far is it?

Yeah my hubby said they find out Thurs if they're grad and go. I want mine to be because his A school is at Great Lakes and if he's a grad and go he still gets liberty but less restrictions. And jetcar I got my ID two days ago. My big thing is the whole Tricare prime thing. I had to drive 30 min across a tunnel to get to the tricare service center because they wouldn't enroll me on the phone *sigh* well I guess we'd better get used to this bureaucracy. I heard the Navy's full of it.

SailorsSweetheart: I can answer that...YES YES YES! It is SO worth it to buy the PIR DVD. I didn't see my son at PIR...not until liberty. Couldn't find him! Horribly frustrating! So I got to see him on the DVD...you can see them clearly when they pass in front of the Review Stand. Pause it, rewind it, play, pause, rewind...you get the picture! If your recruit gets the picture pkg A, it comes with that, as does The Keel.

So happy for everyone who got phone calls today and all the info that we have been able to share, that was certianly the best part of my month!
Sobe - Is your Sailor spicifically on the DVD? Is it worth it to buy? Also, thanks for the 800 div. explination :)
dmc20 - My SR's recruiter said that even if you address things wrong they will still get them because they will look up the last name of the recruit. It just might take a couple days longer.

I hope they do find your recruit!! That's why I made labels, I know some say not to cause they could "fall off" but Im such a scatter brain, and so far so good. BTW what div did you put on them?
Comment by dmc20 (ship 7, div 282) on July 21, 2010 at 12:42am
Ahhh i'm such a dummy! I just noticed that I sent off two envelops with the wrong divison number on there but everything else was correct...I wonder if they will still find its way to my boyfriends correct division?? :( And I really hope I didnt do that for any others...thats what I get for trying to think I could memorize everything and multi task!
