Thanks Kim, you are always so supportive.I appreciate you so much. (My current picture is my kitty named Fifty. (No, I don't have 50 cats, I got her on my 50th birthday!) She thinks she's a human.

Hi
I don't post too many messages, but I just wanted to say that I look forward to reading all of yours! You all are so supportive and helpful to each other! I had completely forgotten about the parking pass! Thanks. I am so excited, I can't wait to see my "baby" (even though he is my eldest) and I am so proud of him. I am a teacher and the first day of school is the day after we get back. I need to go in before we leave and get my classroom set up.

Hi everyone, I know it's kind of late but I slept in and it's 2 hrs earlier than for some of you. My daughter got a "to mom & sis" letter from B yesterday. It was 4 pages long so I'll just ya some highlights. He passed the pistol test. He's never fired a gun before, so that's good. There was a lot about his experience at chapel. He has been searching spiritually for a long time and I'm overjoyed that he had a good experience that helped him. I could say more about that but it would take too long. The other thing he shared is is feeling that many in his division (including him) are not as prepared for pre-buds as they really need to be. He said in his opinion the are only a few who did all they could do to be successful. He said the only jobs with openings right now are for cook and musician. He isn't giving up, but he's struggling with panicking in the water and during the more strenuous exercise. I guess I'm not super upset about his doubts because he's a thinker, and he always learns from his experiences. I hope this doesn't sound negative about his division, it's only how he was feeling when he wrote the letter, but I wanted to share it in case someone connects with it too.
I need to get off here now and make my "do list" for the next 2 weeks. The letters they write tomorrow may be the last ones we'll bet before PIR. We do get a call after Ballestation 21 I think. Thank you everyone for everything.

I didn't get anything yesterday, so of course I'm thinking 'B' is sick too, whic is just my worrying going on. I'm feeling sad that some have had to switch Div. and some are graduating on another date. I guess we will be stronger as the trials come and go in this journey. I'm so thankful we are walking it together.

I don't know why you all think Fletch is so funny, she always makes PERFECT SENSE to me, and the last idea was genius!! If we were there they wouldn't be getting sick like this, right?

Ash, you are so strong. That must have been so hard to hear that your guy misses you so much (but good to hear too).

Will continue to pray for your husband Judy and hopefully the mailman will visit you with a letter tomorrow.
Who is that in Lynn aka R'f mom's photo? Cool.

Hor are YOU Bradlee's mom?

So what are they going to do between PIR and Jan? That's like 4 months of pre-BUDS. B is 841 too but he hasn't said anything about after BC yet. OK, Kim, here's the big question, what is your hubby wearing to the ceremony? Just don't tell mine that I asked, but I know he's going to be wondering "what to wear." LOL

I really relate to that Fletch. I have 2 (grandchildren) and I always get anxious when something big is coming up. I hate to fly. I'm nervous the entire time! Also, hearing that things are happening, like injuries, illness, etc. at BC, and we want everything to be OK SO bad...it's enough to push a mom over the edge! Sorry, I guess that wasn't very reassuring, was it. I just have to remind myself that my fears are just that--my fears, nothing mmore. God is in control, so we can relax.
