Has anyone made hotel arrangements? If so where and whats seem to be the cleanest hotel with the best deal.  Would be kinda nice if some of us were at the same place!

I made two reservations actually.  I read and re-read the reviews and I made a reservation on post at the hotel they have.  Also I made one at Motel 6.  Both were 55 a night, the on post room tho is a suite! Just not sure if my SR wants to stay on post.  The Motel 6 has a shuttle to and from PIR and was new remodeled.  I just hate picking hotels without being there to see in person but I want to make sure I have a clean, pleasant place to stay!

is the one on post the Navy Lodge? If so its not really on base so to speak... its in the military housing Forrestal Village. Its close but not right on the actual base.
no the Navy Lodge is off post.  The one Im refering to is Navy Gateway Inn & Suites.  Its for active duty personnel.
Oh, man. We got it for $89 a night. For a room with 2 queen size beds. Already booked earlier today.
I made reservations at the Ramada Inn Waukegan where the Meet and Greet is held.  With the Naval Graduation package, I got the rooms for $79 a night
seems like everything is booking up fast.  I guess I will keep my hotel and just drive over to the ramada for the meet and greet! i guess everyone did what i did lol and make reservations the second they got the brochure!! planning this trip to PIR really has occupied some of my free time and made me feel like it was so much closer!
I booked at the Days Inn in North Chicago - one mile from Great Lakes.  Their rack rate if you walk in off the street is $99.00.  They initially told me the graduation rate was $79.00 per night, but when I told him that someone else in our group had booked at a Days Inn for $55.00 per night, he gave me a rate of $65.  This Days Inn is closer than the other one, which is why he wouldn't go down to $55.00 - but we're really excited to be only one mile from the base.  Free breakfast and parking.

I joined AARP this year specifically for hotel discounts - but the graduation rate was even lower.

Shuttle?

How does everyone know how many nights to book? I was going to wait to find out if Kira is a grab and go or when she was flying out to her A school. I was originally planning on flying out Thursday and flying back either Sun night or Mon morning. What is everyone else doing?

Well I booked from 25-28 but if I have to leave sooner then I just pay for how long I stayed.  I think most hotels are like that these days.
and Im driving, bcuz like you, I wasnt sure when to come back.  I didnt want to be up there after everyone was long gone.
