Leaving for GL in the a.m. - leaving 115 degrees - nice - seeing my Sailor - THE BEST!  Thanks to all who posted on here.  Your comments, questions and support made this journey much easier.  Blessings to all as your Sailors move on to their next destination.

We received our "I am a Sailor" call about 5:15 02|941. She really sounded good. She said she is tired and ready for lights out! Hope everyone receives their call soon!

Do you have a son or daughter graduating this Friday but you are unable to attend? If you want pass this along to them if you can. Look for the guy with all the cameras around his neck sitting in a wheel chair. We'll take them out for an official Chicago style pizza and hug their neck for you.

Sharon - it sounds like you described Arizona - we occasionally have the after shocks from California earthquakes and we definitely have the fire season!!  Oh and we also have the "Haboobs" now (new term for dust storms this year).  We don't have tornados - we have mircro bursts - just a damaging though!!

I am glad y'all are safe and no injuries.

Our friends in DC were terrified too. She said her brick house was swaying side to side. She grabbed her kids and ran out of the house.

Glad I have never fet an earthquake...would rather have tornadoes anyday.

Holy Toledo! Betsy, that must have been frightening!  My younger daughter said the same thing, felt like the apt was going down!  Glad you are ok!
