Sparkling, glad your daughters are ok.

caylex, glad that you are ok too.

We definitely felt it here.  There are buildings damaged and everyone here ran outside.  I live in an apartment on the 4th floor (top) and it felt like the entire building was going to collapse.  I got out of here fast.  My poor doggy didn't know what was going on.  It was so strange seeing all the squirrels running around and not knowing where to go.

Earthquake was felt here in MI too (not by me, but in my town. I kind of felt something, but assumed it was a plane or something going over. So can't say for sure I felt it)

Just got my candles ready for tonight  :)

I think the thing I am most looking forward to at PIR is to see all of the new sailors walking in and to see all of the pround parents/family members/girlfriends/boyfriends that will be sitting in the crowd waiting for them! Not to mention having the 5 of us together for the day!!

They said there was one yesterday in Colorado too...5.6....and then there are 2 hurricanes coming...good gravy.

I just got an email from my youngest daughter in VA!  Phones aren't working. But she said it was 5.9, things fell off the shelves, windows broken. Then I got a call from my older daughter here in NY, their building shook and they have been evacuated.

Betsy, I'm so glad you are ok!  That would be so scary!!

Ok, I never ever want to feel another earthquake.  I can't believe we just had an earthquake in Maryland.  5.8 was big enough to scare me.  Things were falling off the shelves in our apartment, roof sounded like it was going to cave in, (I'm on top floor) so I ran outside to get out of the building.  Convinced me that I will never want to live in CA.

A couple weeks ago, my daughter (16 yr) said "Mom, I'm so glad Alex didn't have a girlfriend when he left".  If he had, I know some things would be different.  For one, the girlfriend would be #4 on the list instead of my sister.

My hubby is very sick so I hope he is the one to get the hug first ;)  It would mean the world to him.  I've gotten lots of "I miss you terribly, I love you more than you know" in letters and phone calls. So this once I'll step aside for the first hug, unless he comes to me first ;)  No girlfriend to deal with right now either. He kept saying "Yes Ma'am".  So proper! lol!
