Sorry I had a bad connection at the hotel and couldn't get the photos uploaded.  As I am typing this they are uploading to Photobucket, and I will link it as soon as I can.  There are some aftermath shots of Irene in there too, just ignore them, I will be moving them out of this album as soon as I am done uploading.

Now they are Sailors on their way to A school.  Our son Kyle had so much from with everyone from Heidi's family to Sandi's family.  The photo's are great!  I know if we were able to make it his day's would have been spent helping his father and I in the hotel room take our medications, eat, take more medications.  No young person needs that he had enough of it growing up.  The last time I recall seeing our son so happy was before my husband and I got sick.  From the bottom of our hearts again thank you so very much he has his Navy Family now too.  And knowing this it makes it a bit easier for not only him but us too.  God Bless you all and God Bless America.

I thoroughly enjoyed PIR (except for the part where my son was one of those that passed out during the ceremony) and it was so moving for me.  I also enjoyed the time that I got to spend with my son and to share his birthday with him and was so glad that his grandmother got to come also.  She has not seen him since he was 2 years old and this was the first time that she has ever seen my daughter, her granddaughter.   It is so nice to have communication back again!  We are on our way back to Texas.  We left Waukegan about noon today and made it to Marion, Illinois tonite.  We will spend the nite here tonite and go as far as we can tomorrow, and plan on making it home on Tuesday.  Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way...thanks to the veteran moms for being so helpful and enduring all my questions and for the support that everyone gave me.  Stacey-it was great to meet you and your family.  Your son seems like he is a wonderful young man and you should be very proud of him.

You are so right, Doreen.  His next "room" could be his rack on a ship! :-)  Glad he is doing well and adjusting!

I posted an album to my profile. Anyone can view it...It has been nice to be able to text my son and kinda know what he's up to. He sent pics of his new room at A-School. Walk in closet, large room that he shares with another guy. Fridge, microwave...kinda like a hotel. I told him to not get spoiled-his next room may not be as fancy.

I have some pics...we were using a new a camera and didn't realize our battery was going to die so soon. We wanted to save power for when it ended as well...
