Anyone else packed?  The animal sitter has been here and had her meeting, The vet has been contacted and alerted, my bag is packed with her stuff ready to go.  I still need to get the zoom lens and filter from my friend, but other than that I am ready to go....especially after watching that video.

Now I just want to get on a plane!! Watching that video made me even more proud of my SR and the group of young men that will be graduating this coming friday!  8/26 is exactally 5 months from when I first met my SR!  So it's kind of our best friends anniversary!

Yes, congrats to all of the winners of the Capitans Cup!!

Dianne - wow, I cried watching that video and I am even more excited for Friday to get here.  I would also like to thank all of the veteran moms for all of their knowledge and for the new moms who shared in my pain/joy!  I am really shocked that it is our turn almost - I never thought time could go by this quickly!

Jana:  Re:  your son being on the front row in the gas chamber.  A GREAT thing because he got out first.  Mine was on the last row...nervous wreck by the time he got up there after having to watch all of the others go ahead of him...HA!

Yes, please send him the tv...but only if it fits in a normal sized white envelope so as not to draw attention!  :-)

Sounds like he is doing great!  So glad!

You are correct, Sharon.  No all-female divisions up there...YET!

Congrats to the Captains Cup winners!

Should have posted this link earlier, but here is it ...tells you about Captains Cup...better late than never!

Woo hoo!! Got 2 envelopes from my SR today with 3 letters in them, 2 questionnaires and a card...that goofy kid...I had written him several weeks ago that I had broken my little toe and he sent me a get well card, but didn't sign it or write anything in it...Apparently he was delayed in getting his wisdom teeth out, but they took them out on the 12th.  Said he got caught up with his division on the 16th after being SIQ and LLD after getting his teeth taken out.  He says the RDC's are letting them run themselves now which puts them in a good mood (good enough for a phone call?) and they have some funny stories to tell.  He says that are really close to graduating as a battle efficiency division (whatever that is), that they are on the fence right now.  He also said the gas chamber was kind of cool.  He said he was lucky because he was in the first row.  From the questionnaires he said bootcamp was better than expected and that he needs to work on making his clothes perfectly folded and his bed not having wrinkles in it--I told him before he left he was going to have problems with those...lol...He said he wants me to send him a tv and that he is a little worried about the last test (I'm sure he did fine).  The funniest part was he said they got briefed on safe sex.  He also said he is working on his finances and started a thrift savings fund.  He sounds good...can't wait to see him on Friday!!
