caylex:  Here are the PFA charts:

The blue candles are also burned when they are "in the fleet" or in A School.  Any time that you are thinking of your sailor or he/she is going through a difficult time, hard test, etc.  Up to you when you burn them!  Just shows that you are thinking of them!

Well maybe not just when they run Battlestations

Stacey-When your SR runs Battlestations it is a tradition to burn a blue candle from what I've read.  I've gotta go get one--at least I can burn it in the hotel room wherever we end up Tuesday night--don't think it would be a good idea to burn it in the car...lol

yes-I have my blue candle. I burn it when I am really missing my SR, and I am burning it tonight.

Blue candle is burning. I pray that I receive the "I'm a Sailor" call tomorrow.

My SR is 18 and will turn 19 on 8/26. his PIR date.  He thinks that's pretty cool.  He had talked with a Navy recruiter off and on his whole senior year, but had decided to attend the local junior college in the Fall of 2010.  Right before classes would have started, he decided that he was going to go to the Navy instead.  He didn't want me to have to sign for him, so he signed for himself on his 18th birthday.  He was a DEPPER from August until when he shipped out on July 5.

We got 3 letters, she says she has more days available to write which is good cause she's now on watch so she lost part of the ,holiday time she would've written.... & post card for her friend & brother no photo but she said she bought them, cost her around $200 but worth it.... I wrote today telling her I d pay her back :) & reminded her to buy the dvd too

Manncan I read shannons post on Facebook asking the navy about it...I have been worried about Brit she's written in every letter she's still struggling with 60 situps I too have no clue how many she's done...or if passed even in today's letter.... So glad they get more chances...

Then it's possible you'll still get a pic as mine is 278.  Keep the faith!
