I was wondering why there were no more pics of the week/day shots on the site. At least we'll see our sailors next week. Our airline tickets have been bought, hotel reservations made, and all thats left is the waiting.

Also - Andrea mentioned ordering pictures but in my letter going out today, I've asked her to be sure to order "Package A" and I will give her $$ for it when we get there NEXT WEEK, YEA!!    Package A is the one with the book that is like a yearbook for them.

The administrator on that FB page is actually a bit sensitive about requests for certain division photos so if it were me, I wouldn't ask that.  She is really great about responding to things but there have been so many people asking about divisions and requesting they shoot pictures of a specific division that they've stopped posting any at all.  they also said it was due to increased security on posting photos and time constraints so it wasn't just "us."  There are a number of us who have scrutinized all the random photos since our SRs have been there and we haven't noticed any of our division.  Doesn't mean you won't see your daughter in one where she is visible and our were not!  But it basically comes down to looking through them all yourself...a little time consuming to say the least :-)

I haven't found any.  There was one a while back that we thought might be division 270 but just got a letter from Andrea a few minutes ago and she says it was not them.  I printed it out for her and sent it with a letter :-)  So DARN it, no pictures of our SRs, at least not that I have seen.

She also said in her letter that last Wednesday they were learning firefighting and last Thursday was the gas chamber.  She didn't sound too excited about that part, said it was going to hurt but whatever she has to do to get through boot camp, she will endure. !!

hello has anyone found any pictures of ship 7 div 270 yet???
Comment by BrendansParents on August 15, 2011 at 1:21pm
I guess our SR's are getting ready for Battle Stations this week. Just watched a video on it I found on another site. Looks like a lot of putting out fires and running all over the mock ship but I know they will be excited because as soon as it's over they get to trade in their recruit caps for Navy caps. Be expecting a call on Friday.
