Got the call too.  It was wonderful to hear her voice.  She did say she met another girl from Texas, not sure if her mom is on N4M.  She is homesick, but still determined.  Just hearing each others voice brought us to tears. I just kept reminder her that 8/26/11 is just around the corner and that she is almost halfway there.

I noticed in the other 8/26 group that they talked about getting lanyards to wear at graduation.  Has anyone heard anymore and would this replace wearing the ribbon or in addition to.  Also dont know much about the ribbon, just seen a few post about them.  Anybody know how to make, ect,.  I think it would be a great thing to do something to show visual support of our div.

Also has anyone received any letters stating how the div is working together?

I know after graduation if new sailors didn't order pictures you can buy them at the nex.The nex area is where we usually wait to pick them up after they go back to their rooms to get their stuff. We got the graduation video and the cruise book in the mail. But my son had his bootcamp photos with him after he went to his room.Looking at some of the replies my daughter is in a mixed division.Pay day fall on a monday Aug 1st so they should be getting some money the saturday before that.I am on my daughters account so I will let her know when her money starts hitting.Mike's mom- he will have the opportunity to order that while in boot camp. The big package has the best value because it comes with their bootcamp photo(them in their dress blues),cruise book(which is kinda like a year book with lots of different pictures of the divisions)and you used to get the graduation video as an added bonus. Also a divisional picture.Last year each divison designed a t-shirt and they could order those for the families also.

Sandi, I just asked my son and he said he thought they were about $30 dollars. He said that they only keep the photos and DVD on file for a year then it is deleted. Keep in mind that $30 dollars was the price a year ago. I don't know what it is now.

Don't forget to order the DVD of your Sailors PIR.  You can only order it while they are in boot camp..

Navy Exchange Photographic Services- 1(619) 299-8794

I got the phone number from the back of my son's PIR DVD.

Ok ladies, we were soooo close to winning the Navy FB trivia. Lets keep trying and hopefully next time we beat that Div 817 record. Does anyone know how often the questions come?  I believe they are on Tuesdays at 10, but not sure if they are every tuesday.

MikesMom, luckily SR get paid while in boot camp. All of the Sailors in my son's division bought their families the Official Navy Photo.  Here is the phone number of Navy Exchange Photographic Services:  1(619)-299-8794
