13 seconds. That should be a gimmie. If its true that means he's picked up over 2 minutes since the last test so 13 seconds should not be that much harder. Our flight tomorrow will be in the air around the time they start calling with the news so hopefully when we land at O'Hare we'll have a great mssg to listen to. I'll have to change my voicemail mssg to let him know we're on the way. Thanks for passing along the info. If you hear anything else please let me know.

Someone from the site let me know I was not suppose to use last names on here so I had to change our login name. But it's still us. We're still waiting on our call and have our fingers crossed it will come today.

Ouch, 15 minutes. The boy is built like a lineman. Short and stocky. We all knew including Brendan that the run was going to be his biggest challenge. I have to have faith the instructors in FIT are trained motivators and can get the most from the recruits under them. Congrats to Mike and your call. We're looking forward to meeting you and Mike in less than a week.

Thanks. I was reading another post on the FIT section on this site and a mother had a daughter that failed the run and was unable to pass in time to graduate with her Div but she went to the PIR anyway since everything had already been paid for (same as us) and she was not given a call to let her know she was not graduating on time. The instructors still gave her a couple of hours with her daughter on base so we're still planning to fly in next week regardless. I also learned he would not be able to go through Battlestations with 270 because he will be taking his retest today but there is Battlestations all next week he could go to with other Divs and still graduate on time so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Yep. we're on FB. My page is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1421192561

Brendan's mom can be found from my page too. It would be nice if they got sent the same time to A school. I know when I was their age in the Army it was a rather large culture shock and any kind of normalcy was more than welcome. I go to the site you mentioned daily to see if they have Div 270 pics posted. So far I can not tell but I look really hard. We hope Brendan is not a grad-n-go so we can spend the day with him Friday after PIR. We fly back home Saturday morning but it would be great to take him out to eat for a traditional Chicago style pizza while we're there. We would love it if you and Mike could come along. I know it would mean a lot to our sailors.

Yep, we got our call yesterday. Brendan's mom was upset she was at work when it came but I talked enough for the both of us. He mentioned Battlestations but I was unsure of the date. I told him to do his best and that me and his mom already booked the room and bought non-refundable airline tickets so there's no pressure. We're looking forward to meeting everyone. I know your son and our son have really been helping each other these past few weeks. It would be great if they could get stationed somewhere togother. I know Brendan is going to Pensacola after boot camp for A school. Just hope he's not a grad-n-go so we can spend a few hours with him.

I just booked a room for me and his mom at the Ramada ( I hope that's the hotel with the meet and greet) and ordered our plane tickets. Now the waiting continues for the 26th.

You must be Mike Faher's mom. Brendan (or SR Mann as they call him) told us about your son as well. He said they spend their time encouraging each other and getting each other through the homesick times. I'm glad you posted on our wall. I was doing searches and could not find a Faher anywhere.

This is is father (also named Mike) by the way. Brendan's mom (Michelle) is at work to often to check on the site so I took up job.
