My pleasure Gina! :) It is really wonderful to "meet" someone who is in the same division/ship as my daughter!! I am sure we will be fast friends by PIR. :)

Aww how wonderful is that!!
Hello MelandEli'smom and Codysmom,

I got my letter today too, it was priceless and the most wonderful feeling since the Day she was born,...I am so excited to connect with you both!! cant wait to meet you at PIR.This has been a roller coaster, how are you ladies holding up? Is this your first Child in the military?

Thank you JessicaB you are amazing so glad you directed me here. I dont know where I would be without you.
Good Morning Gina and codysmom....

Yesterday, I was flying high! That letter is like gold to me! :) I have held it together, but I miss my girl! She is my oldest child and the first to "leave the nest." I think I am holding up pretty well because I know this is what is best for her.

Codysmom...what a great idea...I may steal it!

How about you? How are you guys doing? Sending you both great big hugs,

Mary
Hi,Gina and MelandEli'smom, hope you are both doing well...it's usually night before I get on here to check messages,so glad to connect with you both, maybe we'll find more before this is over!!Go ahead, steal the ribbons,we can all wear them, and show our pride for our 320 DIV.Yes,this is my first in the military(he will be 20 on Sat,and my youngest will be 10 Thurs.)He had already moved out at 18,but was still close and always calling and texting, didn't think it would be as hard as it was to see him leave!!Anyway,it is getting so much better, now that we are planning going to PIR,and just seeing his writing on that letter and knowing he is OK(and hopefully stays that way).I hope you both are doing well,also..and I'm just wondering....are there any other guys on this ship/DIV?LOL....
Sorry I was MIA for the day I was in heaven with that little note I got from her, Breeona (my Daughter) is my oldest and first to leave the nest and my best friend so this has been devastating, its getting better though. I couldnt be more proud of her. Thanks for the hugs =) well needed.. perhaps we can all meet for dinner while we are there after our soon to be sailors have gone back to the base ...Im not really sure how it all works but I think I read if they are not a Grad n Go we get to see them during the day then they report back at night?
Haha Cody's mom I think there has got to be more guys in this DIV lets hope for his sake ..poor guy lol Are you from Tennessee ? I went there for my 36th birthday It was great, I visited Grand Ole Opre.

MelandEli'smom if you dont mind me asking where are you from I love getting to know people from other states, I am trapped in California lol...

Well I must work now I will check in later Bless you both and our kids too!
Hi Guys,

Things are going well...I have been doing okay...Not as numb as I was before. I have been busy writing and coming up with other things that I can send her in her letters. Along with work and my other kids, life is keeping me just distracted enough.

Cody'smom, My daughter will turn 20 next month (a week before PIR - she may be doing battlestations on her birthday) and I have a son who is 10...I thought it was kismet that we have kids the same age. :) I also have an 18 in the middle. She wants to join the Navy too. Actually, she was the one that brought the Navy to our home. She should already be in boot camp, but has been delayed because she had bronchitis when she was 12.

Elizabeth seems to be doing well. while I havent heard from her since the form letter, I was relieved at how good she sounded. I too was flying high for a while with the letter. Gina, I am thinking of asking Eli if she has met your daughter. Wouldnt that be interesting? Sorry, Cody's mom...Eli could get another 2 weeks for speaking to your guy...not sure how they work together. :)

Gina, we are from Sunny South Florida! As for that weekend, after graduation, we have them until 8pm...and then 7am to 8pm during the weekend. I am sure we can squeeze in some extra time during that weekend to hang out. My husband is from the Chicago area too...so thats a perk. I am coming up on Thursday night and want to attend the meet and greet... but building in some other time could be fun.

To make it easier, my name is Mary. :) Its much easier to type.

Hugs and prayers to both of you!! :)
good evening,Gina and Mary, hope you are both well.Yes,I'm from TN.(and thank you for visiting,Gina)but seeing as you are both from somewhere close to my favorite place(the beach)I'd rather be where you are,LOL.I think it is just great to be able to meet people here, and yes,Mary,it is crazy we have kids the same age...We will be coming up on Wed. night and leaving out on Sun. probably around lunchtime, and if you all want to meet for dinner or something, that sounds good,as we don't have plans, just gonna play it by ear...I made our reservations at America's Best Value, they have an indoor pool(just in case),and it's close to Ramada for the meet and greet.I will ask Cody in a letter if he has met your daughters...they probably know him as Dustin, though or maybe even his last name as I figure that's what they use....I don't care,he's still Cody to me!!I hope you ladies have a good night, hugs and prayers your way!!!!
