Hello Mary and Codys Mom,

Mary and Codys Mom my daughters last name is Cox lol cant miss that name in the Navy if you know what I mean haha its ok we have laughed about it for a year already. It would be great if they all knew eachother!

I have never been to Florida seems like a paridise from here =) I loved Nashville it was great, yes we have beaches lots of them here =) Cody's Mom, I think your hotel was on my research list =) do they have a shuttle to PIR?
I will be there Thursday night and would like to go to the meet n greet.

Thanks for the information regarding the times we have with our kids, but for sure if we have time it would be fun to meet up if we can if not at least we will see each other at meet n greet for sure.

Hope you both have a wonderful day!!!
yes,Gina, says they have a shuttle, and if you call them and ask for the grad. rate,it's $65/night.Cody actually went to Cal. on his senior trip.He and about 5 or 6 others drove out there, stayed with a friend's mom(Sacramento) for about 4 days then drove home, they had a blast!!!I've never been there, though I've been all around it...Vegas,Oregon,as I was born in Washington and have been back twice when I was younger with dad,his sisters still live in Oregon and Washington...We go to Nashville shopping sometimes, and my best friend and I love to go to concerts,there...OH,sorry,btw,my name is Donna...talk to you both later....it's almost FRIDAY!!!!
Hi Gina and Donna,

Sorry, I have been out of touch a bit because my husband wisked me off to a weekend getaway...well needed since I have been so stressed out recently. :) We went up the coast a bit to St. Augustine...and it was beautiful! :)

Hope you are all doing well. Hang in there, moms! :) Sending you Navy Hugs,

Mary
Nice,Mary,a weekend getaway!!I tend to not get on here as much on the weekends,myself...ST.Augustine is beautiful, never actually stayed there, but been through there coming home from Daytona once...(oh,how I love the beach)We been going to Gulf Shores the past few years, and it's so nice(family oriented)and not too bad of a drive for us...When Cody gets to A School,it will be in Biloxi,so hopefully,I can visit a couple times and make my way to the beach while I'm there,LOL.I hope you and Gina have a great week,I'm thinking mine may be a short one,our work is so sporadic here lately....3 days one week,6 the next....talk to you both soon!!!!
Hi Donna Hi Mary,

I was taking a break from the computer and doing stuff with my youngest daughter and family this weekend.
Donna I live in Sacramento lol funny, I am glad he had a nice visit here.

Marry, that sounds so great what a sweet thing to do for you =)

How are you all feeling? have you received any letters yet?
I read that you should write and ask your recruit when they are scheduled to do "Battle Stations" because then you can anticipate a call the next morning/day. Just thought I would share that with you ladies so you wont miss the most important call they will make from bootcamp. =)

Hope you are doing well, hugs!!!!
Good Morning Ladies,

Yes, the mini-vacation was wonderful and well needed! My husband is a sweetheart and is always taking good care of me. Its funny...one of my good friends said to me once....it is so nice to see that someone is there taking care of the lady who takes care of the rest of the world! :)

I have had a renewed vigor recently, but last night I went through some sadness and frustration. I guess I was feeling the strain of not speaking to my daughter. THis is so hard on me. The silence kills me with anxiety. I am sure that everyone on here can relate to that. I told my mother that worrying through the teen years was nothing compared to the worry that happens when you cannot check on them or text them with a "how are you."

Other than that, I am okay. I have worked through my anxiety and am in better spirits today. Keeping a journal has helped!! This is something i recently re-started again...and it really is helpful...another "ear" for me to vent on.

I havent heard from my girl other than that first form letter. I am hoping I will hear from her soon...maybe this week! :) We are in week 3 ladies...:) We are slowly getting there.

Sending lots of hugs your way. Hope you hear from your SR soon!
Hi,Mary and Gina....hope you are both doing well...Sorry about your anxiety,Gina, but yes we all have our frustrations,I guess...I had to work on a line today I've never worked on,and by break time I was just ready to cry...they don't understand what I'm going through(don't care)and though I'm OK for the most part, all I needed was that bit of stress to set me off.But I made it through and tomorrow is a new day!!!No letters or calls yet for me,either, hoping this week for a letter...we have made it this far without the "I didn't make it" call...I have been feeling so bad for the others that are getting discharged.5 weeks from tomorrow,I'll be (hopefully)sitting in my motel room.....:D.I hope you both have a great hump day and will talk to you soon!!!Oh,BTW,soon we may find out we're kin or something, seems we keep finding things we have in common,LOL!!!
Donna....Mary...
I dont know until tomorrow if the Facebook post made by my daughter is real, I have not received a call yet but she said they are sending her home for anxiety =( I will be happy to hug her but worry about the effects of not making it!
I wish you both the best and your SR's too =) I will let you know what happens from here.

Goodnight, prayers and hugs!!!
Sending you a hug, Gina...Please keep us posted on this. Saying extra prayers for your daughter.
Thank you I will let you know.
aww,Gina, please let us know what is going on...I know you would be happy to hug her,and hopefully her not making it(if it's true)won't get her down too bad.WOW,I got on here to tell the good news about my letter I got today, and now that just makes me sad....will talk about it later,I guess!!Hugs to you both, and Gina, the best of luck to you, hoping this journey we have started with you is not over, yet!!!
Hi Guys...

Just checking in. :) Hope everyone is having a great day. Today was good for me...and then was able to hear from my daughter. Got my very first real letter today. :) Yay! She sounds really good, just sore a bit. She seems to be in a great frame of mind.

Gina, How is your girl doing? Have you heard anything further? I know this must be hard. Saying a few prayers for you....patience, momma! :)

Talk to you soon! :)

Mary
