Hi all,

Still no letter and I am abit concerned about the info that the recruiter gave me for mailing.  He said the street address was 3120 Indiana Street.  When we went on-line that address didn't match any of the mailing addresses.

Has anyone gotten the form letter with the address?  Thanks, I have already mailed several letters and am hoping they find their way to him.

Hi,
I hope you have received your letter by now as I got mine on Sat. I am on the West Coast, where are you located? How did you find out what ship and division was that from the recruiter?
Here is the address I have for my son:
SR last name, first name, middle initial
Ship 04 DIV 820
Recruit Training Command
3600 Ohio Street
Great Lakes, IL 60088-7103

I hope this helps.
Thank you for the info. Yes, I did get the address from the recruiter who I just called and asked why the different address's. He said as long as I have SHIP 4, DIV 820 the letters that I have already sent will make it to him. I am on the East Coast and still have not gotten anything except his clothes! Hopefully there will be something in the mailbox when I get home from work today.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you get your letter today. My son only added a very short note on the end of mine, but it was nice to hear from him. It will be interesting to see how often he writes home.
Hey, my boyfriend is in Ship 04 Div 820. He was going to be a SEAL, then he changed jobs on us when he got to boot. I got his first letter Wednesday, it was short and sweet. He talked about them yelling and him alot. And about the guy he bunked with, and his RDC being a short guy with a temper. Lol.
He seems to be doing well, he sure wishes he could sleep more, but hopefuloly that will get better.
Hey Joeys Girl,
DId he say why he changed and what he changed to? I got the initial form letter but nothing else yet. Really would like to hear how he is doing.
He Said He saw the maturity level of Seals, and he decided it wasnt for him quite yet i guess, Hes now going to be a rescue swimmer. We got both letters on the same day. It looked like he had been trying to write a little at a time from day one. He seems to be doing well, I surely hope.
I got 2 letters on Aug. 12. One was the form letter and a short note that he wrote on Aug. 4. Then he wrote a letter on Aug. 8. The one he wrote on the 8th sounded a little more encouraging. I was surprised to find out that graduation was 9/24/2010. I thought it would be about 2 weeks later. Anyone have any idea when they might get to call home?
Hi, my son is in ship4, div820 too. The address given me was 3600 Ohio St. Is your son in the SEAL program? Can't wait to be there, watch him graduate and hug him!
my boyfriend went in to be a SEAL originally. But He Changed Jobs:/
What job is he going for?
Now Hes Going To be A Rescue Swimmer; Hopefully They Didnt Put Him Down Alot And make Him feel Like He Wasnt Able To be A SEAL.
I don't think they would put anyone down - I imagine your boyfriend is making this decision based on what he thinks suits him best. And it sounds like an exciting job! Best of luck to you both!
