Hi all,

Still no letter and I am abit concerned about the info that the recruiter gave me for mailing.  He said the street address was 3120 Indiana Street.  When we went on-line that address didn't match any of the mailing addresses.

Has anyone gotten the form letter with the address?  Thanks, I have already mailed several letters and am hoping they find their way to him.

Hell Week is at BUDS. I've been looking through your posts and I have no idea what they're talking about! (You guys haven't mentioned it, but some other divisions did) And believe me, HW is hard, both on the boys and the parents at home! LOL But the boys get the brunt of it.

Yes, your sons will be in Great Lakes at least until February, maybe even longer. They don't run a winter class anymore so the last class (hopefully---they don't have a date yet, i don't think) will be class 2 8 6. Then they shut down until February. Then about every 7 weeks or so they start a new class. You will know after they get "across the street" what class your son will be aiming for. But don't write anything in ink! My son went a class behind what he thought he would be! Just enjoy your time at PIR! (and don't worry about that. What will be, will be!)

No, you can't give them anything until they get "across the street". If you are lucky, the boys will move "across the street" (it's down the street and around the corner) LOL immediately after graduation. I know that means waiting for them to move (about 4 hours) but you might get them for the whole weekend and not have to have them back until Sunday afternoon. You have to wait until you get there to find out.
Very helpful! Had a letter from him about a week ago. We are praying for BS to go well. Do wish I knew when that was? Do they get to call home when its over? Anyone know how many weeks pre-BUDs is?
BS for our guys is Monday. I am thrilled to say that I will be there for PIR, my youngest son is coming with me. My son does not know that I am coming yet so he will be surprised. I can not wait to meet the people in this group as it has been so helpful. I am flying into Milwaukee on Thursday arriving around 2:30 then driving down to Great Lakes, staying at the Navy Lodge. Anyone else staying there?
thank you ochaos, I will light the candle! does this go from 8pm that evening? So good you are going to his graduation - everyone says it is a day we will never ever forget! see ya there!
Wishing you all the very best as your DIV heads for BS on Monday. I'm praying for you all! Our son said it goes by so fast that he didn't have time to even think about it. I pray that all your SRs have the same experience.
Amen and Amen. Let is be so.
Okay Ladies:
I am praying for your sons and will light a candle for mine as well as yours today. I know they will all do great! Hope we all get to meet at graduation!!! 4 more day....woohoo!!!
Fellow Moms, Just want you to know you're all in my prayers this evening as your SRs have victory in this last hurdle of basic training...less than four days and we'll be there with them!
I hope they all know we are so proud of their meeting all the challenges of Boot Camp! The candle is burning in anticipation of a phonecall saying, "hey, I'm a SAILOR!!"
Congratulations everybody. All of Div 820 passed BS. We are proud parents of US Sailors now.
Hey MOMS of 820 SAILORS!!!!! They did it and won Captain's Cup...our boys ROCK!!! So happy for all the Moms of these fine men. Now on to GRADUATION!!!! God Bless!
I have my Sailor's phone charged and finishing my packing to fly out early in the morning. Everyone travel safely and it will be so great to meet everyone. Still no phone call but at least we will be seeing them soon.
