Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

Got a text from our sailor yesterday, graduates from A school on Nov. 19! YEAH! :) We were going to go down for graduation, but with my work, have decided to go for Thanksgiving instead. I get an extra day that way! :)
Glad everyone is doing well. Loving being able to talk to him more often! He has had fun going to the beach, LOVES that FL weather!!

@Dorothy-he posted a picture of his 'catch' on facebook...it is slimey, has horns and teeth. THANK THE LORD he HAD to throw it back!! 'back in the day' it would have become a pet :( that boy wanted to have a pet slug and tried "every way from Sunday" to gross me out when he was a kid. he's still doing pretty good. got an 'outstanding' (on what i do not know) and has been excused from his duty on Thanksgiving Day. we're driving down on Thanksgiving Day and we'll swing by and pick him up for FOUR days and we're taking Sissy and Grandmaw!!!!

Hello everyone. I haven't been able to get on here lately because I had to get a new computer. But the computer came today! yay! haha. Anyway, Justin started school last Friday and has his first test on thursday. I'm in college on for PTA and everyone told him A School would be like college. Well, I have found some major differences. His school is only a month (yay!) and that they only have 5 test total for the academic part. I told him I have 5 test in a week sometimes! haha Well, I hope everyone is enjoying being able to talk to their sailors and I hope that they are doing well. Have a good rest of the week everyone!

Good morning ladies! I have been so mia for the last week, we are so busy at work right now getting ready for the upcoming tax season, with hiring new people and getting ready to get them all trained. Yesterday was my youngest daughters 12th bday, so we had a party on Saturday. i was invaded by 10 other 11 & 12 yo's, but i survived...lol My hubby is currently in NC for some training before their upcoming deployment, been there 2 weeks with 2 more to go. And my sailor is glad to have finally started a school and looking forward to having liberty this coming weekend after being there for 3 weeks. so tomorrow i have to get his civilian clothes mailed out to him.
MKL - beautiful pictures. other then my family that is the only thing i miss about Maine, the fall :)
Proud wife - glad you made it and are getting all settled. fire ants do hurt really bad. we get them here in texas really bad. i'm always having to treat my yard for them.

Proud_Wife...Yeah, you all made it :)) Welcome to the East Coast!! Maine is in middle of Fall Foliage with lots of wind and a few good storms...Those fire ants hurt wicked lots and found out I am allergic to them last time down in Florida.
Let your hubby know Bill and Julie s/b grad on 21 from GLakes school. They get 10 days leave and then head south to Williamsburg and Norfolk...

We are pretty much all settled in now. Silly me forgot to pack the power cord for the tv so we had his my husbands brother mail it to us. We're hoping to get it soon. Lol. My husband went back to work today and found out that he's gonna be classing up this week. We both have mixed emotions about it. But I know he's nervous/excited about finally starting. So far I like it here, its been real nice. I had my first encounter with fire ants yesterday, they attacked 2 of my toes. I got bit by a spider this morning while I was standing in the kitchen, left a good welt on my arm. The boys are doing great, they both have their own rooms and we have a spare bedroom. Our oldest hasn't quite gotten used to the fact that we can't just let him out back to play by himself anymore cuz we don't have a fence, our dog doesn't like it either. Lol.

Just thought I'd keep you ladies informed. Thanks for letting me share!!

Hey everyone! Got back and started to get life back to normal. Then WHAM! Got laid out with the flu! LOL Two doses of it.! LOL Hopefully I am immune this winter now. Still fighting the hacking cough.

My son is still in GL but is doing great in school. He already has his leave set for Christmas. My other sailor son is coming home soon and I am soooo excited!!! We are driving down to see his ship come in and spend the weekend with him. He wont be able to come home for leave right away but he is at least almost home from across the world! :D <-big big smile!
I read up a little bit and sounds like everyone is doing ok. I was sad to read about the credit card scam. I know my son called today asking about me signing up for something for him. I had to tell him no, that if they didnt want to deal with you directly that then they dont want or need your business. He said " your right Mom".. WOW... that was a big word for me to take in. LOL

I will be busy the next week, but it was great to see you all still here!!
