Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

I had asked my son about an absentee ballot about a week ago and he said they all were given ballots before they left GL and as soon as he checked in in P'cola they had everyone fill them out. The thing I'm trying to figure out now is how to renew his driver's license. Here in NJ we are required to present 6 points of original documentation (SS number, birth certif, passport, driver's license, etc.) as part of the renewal process. Naturally he doesn't have that stuff with him and even if he did, how would he get to the NJ DMV to have his picture taken? I haven't been able to get through to their offices to get an answer on this yet.

Good morning everyone! Seth should be starting Aschool today, finally after being there for almost 2 weeks. And that means i gotta get moving to get some of his clothes boxed up and mailed off to him, so he'll have them once he's allowed off base liberty.
Hope you all have a great day!

Have your sailors requested absentee ballots? They need to be filled in and returned eight days before the (November 2nd) election.

In Houston a few months ago, there were people who would look for service men and women and try to sell them high dollar watches/electronics etc. only to find out they were imitations. Our young people need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves; walking circumspectly and not being naive to those that would try to deceive them.

I feel sorry for these people. Desperate, no sense of right or wrong, living for the moment . . . I guess they need our extra prayers.
I'm still enjoying the new-found freedom of talking with my sailor at will. Between Skype, texting, email, and phone it's been wonderful after all those isolated weeks at BC. It never gets old!!

Just trying to help. If they get the group my son was with.....I KNOW they got others!!! And you are right! Why, do people feel they have to do this! Preying on anyone in that fashion is awful; but our military men & women!!! It is just WRONG!!!!!!

@MLK...My sailor is also BEQ532 in GL. I shipped his phone, but he went out and bought another one LOL, couldn't wait to call his girlfriend and daughter, and of course me. I love being able to talk to him every day!

Yeesch! How low can people get, preying on our service men and women? Thanks so much for the heads-up, SimplyJRB. I'm passing your info on to my sailor now.
