For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

Comment by navy on August 15, 2010 at 10:01pm: You are correct... we see our sailor at the PIR and for as long as we can after.. I believe the get to wear the BC glasses until A school... no contacts... but not for sure about that... Anyone get any phone calls ??? Not hearing a lot of talk about Grad and Go... so maybe this PIR doesn't have as many as other PIR groups... maureen, maybe you can shoot me an email and remind me to call the RAMADA and I will just tell them how many people are going to the meet and greet.. even though I won't be there I guess I can make a phone call.. EVERYONE please post on the discussion about the MEET and Greet how many people you are bringing... it is free, and I guess the Ramada sets it up, we just need to let them know a number...

I have talked with Ktbug and being that her circumstances have changed, we will need ONE volunteer to take charge of your meet n greet. All you would have to do is remind this group daily to go to the discussion above and rsvp , then when we get closer to your Meet N Greet, you will just call the General Manager at the Ramada Inn and let him know approx how many will attend from N4M's group. Thats it. You will see that I just posted the info in your discussions so thats already done. So, please someone come forward to help the group out. I will help anyone that needs it but its all very simple. Thank you all.

What time do we get to pick up our loved ones the morning of the 25th and 26th? My son starts school on the 28th, will they move their things on the 27th or after graduation? Thanks for any answers you may have., God bless our loved ones
