hey all...just got off the phone with Bill..he needs some shorts and swim trunks sent down to him.. he said it was getting warm down there..lol maybe I will enclose a snow shovel so he remembers his roots..lol yes, here in maine, the black fly futures will soar this spring along with the rivers, molds and allergies... $3.35 for gas is high butroads populated with tourists lookingfor moose and bears...turkey seasonmay have a bit of a problem as state is thnking of increasing fees,again...next up..bruins are on a 4-0 road trip with game today in Edmonton and skeptics think the Red Soxs will put it to the Yankees... the new govenor LePage wants the ground fishing fleet to come home..to Maine..it seems they left for Mass and found a better way to make money there rather than in Maine...local plowmen making much extra cash but will they report it as income??... local families want to know...stay tuned as I try to bring the Maine Life to you all, with a bit of wit...TTYL w/HUGS
Hi everyone! I hope this finds you all doing well, and surviving whatever crazy weather your area may be having. Glad i'm not in Maine right now, my dad sent me pics of all the snow, sure don't miss it. Gonna be about 80 here today, though i'll be at work, and wont' get to enjoy much of it.
Hubby is now overseas, he left lil over a week ago. son is still here though, looks like his unit wont' be deploying anytime soon after all.
Have a great day everyone!
i think i survived all the snow and frigid temps in the deep South...i'll let you know when i thaw out : (
Hi everyone. it's been so long since i got on here, i've missed it. been extremely busy at work and about to get even busier. my son came home for christmas, which was really nice. and he will be graduating A school on the 14th. so he'll be back home next weekend. then have to wait on the definate word whether he is deploying for sure. my husband will be deploying around the middle of february, so gearing up for that too.
We had a really great holiday, it was nice to have all the kids home. my oldest daughter will head back to college tomorrow.
I had to make an emergency trip home to Maine last weekend. my mom got really sick the tuesday after christmas and was hospitalized. they thought it was a stroke, from the signs she showed. but they are now thinking it was some kind of viral thing. she was sent to boston the day i was on my way up there. so got to travel to boston over the weekend, hadn't been there forever. she is slowly on the mend and they are hoping to get her back to Maine on monday. which will be good for my dad. i worry about him traveling down there alone.
so that's about it for me, tax season is about to be in full swing, and then i will never have free time...lol
hope this finds you all doing well. have a great day :)
Happy New Year All!! Here in Maine the snow is slowly melting but the weatherman is picking this weekend for about 4 inches of that stuff :( I love the first snow but seeing the little green patches of lawn popping up makes me look forward to spring and FISHING AGAIN!!! That is my passion. Son Bill and Girlfriend Julie, are now engaged and enjoying Virginia. Youngest son is on his last two weeks home from college. I think he is ready to get backto dorm life and his buds. He and five friends spent Tuesday in my kitchen making cookies!
The best part of it all, they cleaned up after themselves!!!lol That put a smile in my husbands face and he tasted the c chip cookies and invited them back to do it again on Spring Break...lol Cookies were fantastic . Now all I got to do is let them practice making complete meal...lol I may have found my "Hazel's" in this bunch of college kids!!
