Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

Our sailor is now at his 1st duty station & Trying to get settled in.  I have to say.......Thanks again to N4Ms.  Because I joined the Pax River group & mentioned that he was on his way in a few days.  Suddened I'm friended & find the wife of an AD.  Well, that AD was the NICE guy that drove an hour to the airport to pick up our sailor, then back to the base.  Then called him the next day & took him to the NEX.   N4Ms comes thru again!!!! :)

MKL, that was Beautiful!!! I just like Connie, would have been a blubbering fool standing there.  But also wish I could have been there.  Connie, I can relate; just our sailor arrived just B4 Thanksgiving & 2 days B4 he left we whipped up the tree & had him open some presents we had already bought.

Proud Wife so glad you are enjoying SC.

And Yes, a Very Merry Christmas to all the Navy4Moms.  God Bless you all & all our Military too!  :)

so i realized i haven't posted here in awhile. we are very much enjoying SC. we absolutely love it here. we aren't able afford to go home for the holidays but my parents are coming here for a week to spend Christmas with us. my husband graduates A school in feb, the day after his birthday so he'll be getting a wonderful birthday presents. after he grads he'll be put on t track which is the waiting time between A school and power school. power school is 6 months and the following power school will be prototype school which is also 6 months but i've heard that the wait to get into prototype can be VERY long. we have been adjusting very well to everything. its been getting pretty freaking cold here lately.

we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. my grandparents, my friend, her husband and their daughter and my husband's friend from his class came over for dinner. it was nice and we all had a great time. it was my first time cooking thanksgiving dinner and i think it turned out pretty good.

just thought i would give you ladies an update. i hope all is well with you all.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Mary---i just cried reading your post...i would have been on my knees doing that awful blubbery snotty cry had i been there with you and i wish i was!!!

thank you Simply and Mary---i am working myself to the bone getting it all "Christmasy" here for him and knowing full well that there is a great possibility that there are Christmases in our future when we won't be together.

oh and you all know me i can cry just thinking about how he WILL be here (although still don't have orders in hand yet) to read on Christmas Eve the story of the birth of Jesus to his Doddlebug (Sissy).

Got Keel a couple of days ago....whoop whoop it's waaaay cool.

and so i don't forget...Merry Christmas to the Navyformoms group that virtually held my hand and calmed my nerves where we all started out together...you hold a dear sweet place in my heart.

Morning All From Maine...The weather here is mainely cold this time of year. Some snow, about 20 inches up in Downeast part of state. Lots of wind whipping the shoppers to run to their cars at the mall...almost got a little old man that did this in front of my car...Sun came out for twenty seconds and now is hidden behind snow clouds...Connie>>>AWESOME WREATH!!
All Navy Mom's ...Monday morning I was waiting at garage to get snow tires put on.Suddenly heard ,through the squeaks and bangs and groans of the normal noise of mechanics hard at work, truck horns, sirens and it was growing louder by the second. Went outside and then saw it. THE CONVOY!!! Every year there is a tradition the starts in Maine and travels south to Arlington Cemetary right about this time. I saw six (6) semi's loaded with all the flags, military emblems, lots of lights, with Maine State Police, town police cars, Fire trucks, family and Patriot Riders head ing down Route 1 here in Biddeford Maine. It was the best sight I have seen since
PIR back in September. All the semi's had all the Christmas Wreaths, garlands and other items that get taken down to be placed on the markers of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. I almost started to cry but I got to watching the other people standing there with me in awe .
Today, 12/08/2010 will be the day that thousand volunteers join forces and distribute these Christmas Wreaths for the Fallen Heros at Arlington.
Hope all the families have a great Christmas and at some point in your celebrations, please remeber those who won't be home.

Connie, that Wreath is Awesome!!! We got our sailor's Keel on Monday. So be on the watch for it. I was really starting to wonder, thinking I was going to have to call about it. It is a nice book.

Good morning everyone! Congrats to all of you that get your sailors home with you for the holiday. My son won't be home, but he told me last night that he signed up for an Adopt A Sailor, so he will get to go to someone's home and have a nice meal with them. I'm glad about that, i was worried he'd just be sitting in his room all day. Next week on payday we'll be getting his plane ticket home for Christmas, i'm excited for that:)
I hope you all have a very wonderful Thanksgiving.
