Welcom Navy Loved ones! This site is so helpful for support and finding information and sharing information. Being a Navy Mom and Wife is such an honor. It isn't always easy to wait to hear from them, or to know that they have been, or will be in harms way, but we couldn't be more proud of our boys. The youngest boy said recently, "it feel pretty awsome to be part of something so big, and respected"... He is still in boot camp... My oldest has served three years and is a wonderful young man, who now believes serving their country is something all young men should do. We are so proud of all of our NAVY sons, husbands, daughters and wifes, boyfriends and girlfriends... Please share, ask questions, and enjoy the support provided by Navy for Moms.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone and if you are lucky enough to have your sailor home you have even more to be thankful for.

Hey All, Just to keep those that keep checking in on site from time to time, wishing your sailors and all families and friends a wonderful Thanksgiving. Even thought my sailor and sailor girlfriend will probably not make it home, I am setting a place at the table for them and having a candle lit in the center piece. Both are doing well and adjusting to their first duty stations...lol. I am very blessed .

Hi everyone, seems we are all getting busy. it's that time of year i guess. I hope this finds you all doing well. My sailor is doing good. he's loving California. this past weekend a bunch of them volunteered to work at the nhra races in pamona (sp). he said that was awesome to get watch real drag race cars. and then on sunday they had a screening of the new harry potter movie, so he went to that. he wont' be home for thanksgiving, and i wish i could go see him. but that wont' be happening. so i just gotta hold out until christmas.
If i don't get back on here before then, i hope you all have a great Thanksgiving as well.
Have a great day!

Hey guys...

Havent been on in a while...been way too busy, but wanted to say Hi. All is well with my Sailor. She is still in GL doing some pre-A school stuff and it is getting cold! She should be home for Christmas, so I am pretty excited. :)

jumping in to say hello from Tennessee. hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you don't get to see your Sailor then, i hope you get them home for Christmas.

David is taking a pre-req course before the official A school but no date set on exactly when that will be. moms on the p'cola page tell me that is not unusual and that the AT rate is overmanned by 140%.

miss you all !!!!

Just had to jump in here quick while on lunch.....our Sailor just texted this morning. Says he is going to Pax River, MD. That is all I know so far, says he'll give details later. Hoping SOON.......because now I have lost all concentration on work. ((*SIGH*)) Makes it hard to work! So now I sit & try to be patient while waiting on the details. :)

Good morning everyone! Work is so crazy at the moment, it's hard to find time to get anything done let alone get online..lol i managed to muddle through Halloween, with this being the first year my youngest asked to be able to go with just her friends :( I was a little hurt at first, but I just keep reminding myself that she's not a baby anymore, no matter how much i want her to be. My hubby got back yesterday from NC and will be heading to AZ in a couple of weeks. So i'm gonna try and enjoy the time i have him home.
I hope this finds all of you doing well. I sure do miss you ladies :)
Have a great day!

Good morning everyone, Just wanted to post some info that I have learned the hard way. When my son first got to pre/buds he asked to have some stuff shipped to him, so I put stuff in a box and shipped it - very expensive one small box was almost $30 and it only had cookies in it. With the holidays coming up and I know some will want to send goodies here is the best deal I have found. Go to the post office and get several of the Priority boxes, they are free and come in all sizes. You can put as much as you want into it and it is one flat rate to mail it. That is the only way I send stuff to my son now. I just sent him another batch of my monster cookies - when I do cookies I make them as bar cookies as they travel better that way and used homemade Rice Krispie treats as packaging to keep them from shifting and to fill up empty space. He loved it and it was only $10.90 versus almost $30. You can pack a great deal in the different size boxes and he gets them in two days from CA.
Hope this info helps others.
