Well, Ladies...South Florida reporting in and I rushed to the mailbox to pick up, with my fingers crossed, a letter....but then, after sorting through not once, not twice but three times (seriously, like I would have missed it the first time), there was no letter here in South Florida. But....I am optimistic for tomorrow and right now am living vicariously through your letters....once they start coming further north, they are bound to make it down here. I am thrilled for you that have received your letters. Concerned though about the loss of 12 recruits in one division. That's a lot in such a short time and in just one division.

Nothing here in Maine. Worse, I am going on vacation for the next week to see my 80 year old parents. So my first letter will finally come, and I won't get it for another week. I will be checking in here though. So please post anything you hear for your kids so I can live vicariously though you until I get home.

Oh I'm so sorry guys- I hope it didn't sound like I was gloating or anything.
The mail is so funny how it can take long for one thing and then be quick for things that don't count.
Marilyn- your son sounds like a real sweetie being concerned for his mama.

And really no news IS good news after I read how many guys didn't make it. That letter is on it's way and will be all the better for the anticipation of it!
Praying for you all.

Ok...I just had to get on here again. Called my younger son because I had to know if we also got a letter - and NO. We didn't. I know we aren't supposed to envy others - but sadly I do envy those of you who've heard from your "guys". My younger son was sweet though when he heard how sad I was - he said "mom, some of the other stuff was later getting to us. Keep having faith, we'll probably get one tomorrow or the the next day." Please pray that we DO get one in the next couple days! Jordan has really bad handwriting and I can see him thinking we won't be able to read it, so he won't bother. Not realizing that it's what his mom TOTALLY NEEDS!! (and I can figure out the words!)

Stilll - I am super happy for those of you who HAVE gotten something today. Cherish it, my friends!

Tina- he said they started with about 70 and some there less than 60. But I have heard that some div have around 80. I can't even tell you how I'm still grinning! I'm going to read this over and over till the next one. He also said they do feed them [ one of my ques] and he's eating fruit and VEGGIES! GO NAVY!!!!!

Yea! Letters! There is hope! AFAIC, homesickness means you did a loving job as a parent, and he misses that - good for all of you! Tech withdrawal - the curse of this generation! Poor things. How many people are there in a division if you can lose 12? Holy Cow! It must make your day to hear him being upbeat about this challenging experience.

I got my letter! Looks like everyone is starting to get theirs now. It was very upbeat- He was getting his wisdom teeth out this past mon. The first one he wrote he said he was surprised how homesick he was- wasn't expecting that!
he's also going through major technology withdrawal! Also said they lost about 12 guys from their div. It is just wonderful to finally hear from him and I know all you are feeling the same way. : )

Hey...I've just hoped on today for a minute - the last couple days at work have been BUSY! (Yes, I guess that's what I get paid for! :) BUT...WOW!!! Looks like you all are getting letters GALORE! YIPPPEEE!! I hope I have one waiting for me too - and I hope it holds the wonderful news that yours all seem to hold. I am so glad to hear that your people are well and there aren't any major issues. WHAT A BLESSING AND PRAYERS ARE BEING ANSWERED!

Can't wait to hear more! And I'll let you know if I get anything too. Karissa - I am reallllly hoping you get something today. You have been waiting so patiently!! :)

Have a great and blessed day - I will get on here again soon and read through the rest of your news as soon as I can.

Well nothing yet, but I am in the same situation as Karissa, I too live in California, San Francisco, so I have a few more hours to wait for the mailman. Karissa I shall not only cross my fingers for you, I will also cross my toes, and you do the same for me!!
