Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Marci you have alresdy made me cry That was beautiful. I have a feeling I am going to be a blubbering idiot this weekend.
Walleye?! Thats the best my husband use to go fishing in Canada and man was that good eats!
We head out about 8:30 and mapquest says 7 hrs. With 3 females I figure at least 8 hrs. I better go and pack up the car and grab some breakfast before hitting the road. I am going to try and figure out D's iphone he is getting this weekend so I can keep in touch. (Ihave to make sure it workd you know wouldn't want to give a defective phone!)

Thanks to everyone for always being here. Usually I don't have to even type anything because my questions or concerns are already answered.

I think we need to put up a stage at Flanagans for Marci! I am pretty much packed. Wanted to be packed by midnight and I pretty much made it. Just last minute things tomorrow.
Hope everyone has safe travels and I can't wait to meet you all. I might not write on here much but you all keep me laughing!!! Thanks!!

Marci I am in the same boat. I have ironed. No cookies made yet no hair cut or nails done. Still needto grocery shop for house/dog sitte and for the trip. still need to make things to take with us so we don't have to do drive thru. Still have to wrap D's gifts. WOW thanks Marci now I feel alittle stressed. Guess I better get busy we leave at 8am.

Val I am so sorry you have to be going through all this right now (or ever) If you saw 2 strangers fighting and the man hit the woman woulf you call the police? I know I would. You did the right thing and your mother probably agrees with you but it is her son....
Have safe travels everyone and tomorrow night we will all be togerher to celebrate our children!!!! So exciting. This time tomorrow I will be leaving yippy!!!

Laura I am so happy for you and C. Skyler is beautiful. I am so glad to hear he is doing so good. I really hope we get to meet you at Meet and Greet. It will feel like a piece of the puzzle is missing if you are not there. I know you have to do what is best and I agree but that doesn't mean I won't pout alittle if your not there!!

So glad to hear from you Laura. Glad you got alittle sleep. Prayer are with you always. Get as much rest as possible. I know easier said than done!

I hope we all make it through t he day it kinda seems like a haxe is around me. I just want to crawl back in bed.
I go to Fort Lenordwood today and get to see all the cute Army guys!! That is the half way point to meet my sister with my mother so she can stay with her while we go to Chicago. Step one of many for getting ready for the week. I seem to a last minute kinda gal I probably won't be packed until Wed. night. Drive myself nuts. haha
