Dreams- That is what I miss most about Florida- the beaches in Panama City were the same white sugar sands. I am so anxious to go back home- its too bad I have to stay here in Texas for another month. Spring break is calling our names!

We are flying into milwaukee, its about 15 minute drive longer but much cheaper than midway or ohare....

dildraa (Ship 07 Div 103), I can go but she may not be able to see me but on the weekends and that is fine with me. No snow, the beach, and at least I can see her on the weekends. I am not going to even think about base housing. They don't allow turtles and I have a few so we will be in our own place. Which is fine because they pay BAH to offset rent.

navyblueeyes, thanks for the words of encouragement. I am not too overly worried about it. I hated my job anyway, really stressful and not very stimulating. You're right, I was looking anyway! My wifes rating is AV and she has said she is going to Pensacola.

cudawn Ship 07 Div 103 , I have not clue where she is getting stationed. I wish I did because I would go there and try to find a job instead of trying to go to where she is going to A-school.
Sorry about the nose bleed! Anything out of the ordinary this close worries me. I would hate to think they send folks back or delay them for dumb stuff.

Does anybody know when they find out about duty station?

In my wifes letter today she said in cap. letters, do not bring me my cell phone. She wrote that some other female got into big trouble because of it. So, I will bring it but she cannot keep it. Her chief at the recruiting station said it was fine, hmmm, do those guys know anything?

OH, and she did get paid, it just went to the Navy Federal Credit Union account they set up when she got there! That is a plus. She also said that her div. can write on tues and thurs now. Even more good news for our division.

About the pay. She mentioned that she did get BAH and it was the full amount for our zip code. I cannot tell for sure by the amount she gave me if she got paid as an E-3 or not, but it looks as though she may have. I don't know how they pay them, is it forward or backward? Meaning do they get paid in advance of the month or for the previous month?

Well, that is the most important stuff that would be of any use to everybody here. Now I am happy again!

Bittersweetmama -- AMEN - perfect prayer....thank you. I used to live in Pensacola and my brother and dad are still there. The weather is usually pretty nice there... very hot and humid in the summer tho! But the beaches have sand like white sugar....! beautiful! and the water in the gulf is usually always warm...except for now, of course. Looking foward to seeing everyone in two weeks!!!!

Jut got two letters from my son. Said he has a 4.5 score, had a 5.0 but failed two tests last week. Sorry to hear about everyone getting snowed in. I woke up this morning to one of my breast implants flattened. Will have to have replacement surgery before we go to graduation. More money I wasnt planning on spending, but thankfully I got the insurance when I got the implants! At least that will lessen it by 2200.00. Either way, I wasnt planning on having to spend another couple thousand dollars. Guess its definitely time to go file my taxes- maybe I'll get something back!

colleen with a long o and dildraa (Ship 07 Div 103),
No union, that is not allowed at my job. They would fire you for even mentioning it. No, I have been told she will be going to Pensacola but that is all I know. No confirmation yet.
