Gspengleri~ Amen!!! It's like you write them but they have more important things to be worrying about! It seems like they would have a better line of communication open for us as well as more organized system of processing. I dunno~ I'm sorta put out with that end of this thing.

This spouse hasn't gotten any DEERS packet. I did call my wife's recruiter to ask about that and the pay situation (no pay yet). His reply, it is out of my hands. His advice was to go to the nearest Reserve center and see if I am enrolled in DEERS. He said that it is the personnel office over there now that needs to fix everything. He also said to write it in a letter. I said, "I have numerous times, but I only get a reply once a week!"

Thankfully it would take a lot more than a valentine to embarrass my son so i will be sending him one for sure.
Speaking of all the kids letters, my daughter's entire 4th grade class is writing letters to my son. My daughter was so proud to tell her class about her brother and he will love to hear from them.

Barbarajean, I dont think it would embarrass a single one of them at this point. Its gotta be like being pregnant... Showering with everyone... they all feel the same way, they just want a letter- I dont think they could be embarrassed by anything more than they already have
