dildraa (Ship 07 Div 103) Just remember if he was sick... he would be in SIQ and able to write and call more often so take that to heart.
I can't imagine going that long without word. I just received my first letter in a week and I was about to die for it! So my heart goes out to you!

Gspengleri-
YES I did get my letter today. It was from 1/29.
I was very happy and releived to hear from him. He sounds good, like their division is finally staying out of trouble! Yeah!!! And like your wife he did sound much more upbeat.
I have faith in her. She has come this far she will pass. I know it must be hard on you to think it could be an additional two weeks till PIR. So I will say an extra prayer for you both tonight. I've started a list lol There have been days (like today) that it has felt like years or so since he left. I don't know if you have your days like that but thinking it could be longer has to be miserable.
How many times do they get to pass a PFA? Do you have to fail it more than once or pass it more than once?

yay! got a letter today. son said the RDC's have stopped breaking them down and are now building them back up. said they pass out pain pills like skittles.. he writes, "ouch I stubbed my toe!", Dr replies, here take this oxycodone, then for any pain after that, take this ibuprofen 800." he said thanks for writing me so much mom. you have no idea what it does for me. its like heroine, i would sell my food for letters!" His letters have been very upbeat and has joked around alot in them.. It makes me feel better when I know he is in a good mood!

Thanks for the info on the PAO.

Rickswife, you will get a letter today or tomorrow (I hope you do anyway). I got mine today. Since you are so far away I would say tomorrow most likely. My wifes parents got theirs last week a day after mine because they live in the country. You know how the mail can slow down the further you get from the sender. My wife wrote on Sunday so I imagine it goes out on Monday from the ship because the date stamp on the envelope says the 1st of feb.

If you have daughters there ask them how they are fairing. My wife is in terrible shape. She said most of the girls in her div. have leg rashes. My thoughts are it is the soap, that is what it was at my basic training. Then she said they keep their bras on all night so skin is starting to come off all around that area. Not nice at all I would imagine.

She also said that her div is doing their PFA Friday, tomorrow! I hope she passes this one, if not it will be a two week delay for PIR.

Other than that she sounded more upbeat than the last letter. Just frustrated about the marching because some folks are not doing too well with it. It can take some people a bit to get it down. She said they are practicing in the drill hall!

Angel you just go on and say what you need to say honey! He is a man and thats what they were trying to achieve! So give your sone the "attaboy" he deserves! No worries!

Glad you are hearing from him on a regular basis! Keep your fingers crossed I get a letter today!

Colleen-
I can't really say I have roots anywhere due to my fathers own service but I was born in Portsmouth and I currently live in between Chattanooga and Atlanta (approx 50 miles either way).
I am hoping that last weeks snow fall has had an impact on the mail as well as the 40K+ layoffs in the USPS. I'm praying that everything is okay and it's not anything bad. I mean it's boot camp right what could possibly go wrong... okay well my head says that but my heart says: "Lord if you don't let me hear from him soon I'm going to burst!"
